Yeah, it just comes down to getting a prosecutor to pick up on it. Definitely possible. No clue how snappy the feds are though.

When hindsight becomes that, I'm sure I'm gonna be comparing this going-on to a previous Saga.

Like how Liquid Chris was at its core, a repeat of Jimmy Hill.

I mean, nobody had really conned Chris into extortion before, but similar shit has happened that could've potentially wrecked his finances. You know, being tricked into destroying his PS3 thinking the trolls would give him $9001. And how many times have trolls taken over his PSN, with which they could've purchased many digital downloads?

I'm just kinda curious how the Idea People made Chris think a loan shark was coming after him. That's serious business and shouldn't be something lied about. Did he, what, convince Chris that Sykes from Disney's Oliver & Company was breaking out of his dimension to break Rosechu's knuckles? Does the fact that a cartoon character can die not apply to Chris's fantasy world? Sykes had one of the most brutal deaths ever in a Disney Cartoon film.

What's up with the secrecy? It's so unlike you. Did you get the feds involved since it sounds like a crime occurred, and you are currently cooperating with them?

I believe there is a lot going on behind the scenes that can't be openly discussed right now for a few reasons. I believe those who are investigating what happened ate currently putting the pieces together to be able to hand over solid evidence to those who can actually do something about the issue. They want to be able to go to the authorities and say "These people took advantage of a mentally disabled person to the tune of (x amount of money). These are their names, here is where they can be found, this is what they took, and this is how they did it. Please bring them to justice." and not be laughed out of the building.

And like with any criminal investigation, it's best not to openly lay out the details until the time comes when it won't hurt the case or give the guilty time to cover things up, get rid of incriminating evidence, or go into hiding.

I know our community is used to having all the details given to us about any particular cow fairly quickly, if not immediately, but this is a special case. We are just going to have to wait until it's safe for this info to come to light. Especially if we want Chris to have the best chance to have justice served. I'm anxious to find out exactly what happened as well, and I'm someone who doesn't exactly care if Chris is miserable or not, but even I want to see these asswipes brought in and for Chris to see justice served.

I know everyone is mocking him, but... I really think this is why it's gonna be hard to get the police to do ANYTHING about this. If you were a cop, and someone told you that they were abusing this trans-woman by making her think they were killing fictional characters, wouldn't you think it was ridiculous?

I really hope justice gets done, but how can you convince authorities that this is True and Honest when it sounds so ridiculous? Even if you convince them that Chris is an autist I think it's an uphill battle.

Which really sucks, because these asshole deserve some kind of comeuppance, and just having their names smeared on a forum isn't enough justice... at least for me it isn't. And I hate the fact that it looks like they are gonna get away with it, not for lack of trying mind you, but because the people that can do something just can't be convinced to.

It is pretty surprising how the entire zeitgeist of this forum has changed on a dime all because null turned white knight. If it was anyone else acting the way he is they would probably have a lolcow thread by now. People always talk about cows here but i see a lot of sheep.

You don't need to be a whiteknight to see that manipulating a disabled person into punching themselves and making false pedo confessions is a bad thing and should be stopped.

Also, while I agree with you that had they kept it to moon threats they would have been less likely to be prosecuted, but they overplayed their hands like the autist edgelords they are and not only had him send money, they also blackmailed him with his own videos. Lying to get money out of someone is still extortion even if it's an exceedingly stupid lie only an autistic would believe. People get conned into sending money to women who don't exist and that's equally as pathetic in many ways. You'd be surprised the things people will fall for and the scammers only get more creative. Though even they havent put a moon gun to someone's head yet.

Somebody should either give this site to him, or go over it, to improve his social skills, and so that he can understand non-verbal comm's.
Even something as subtle as looking down or away can add great context to what that person is feeling about the current scenario being played out.
