Let's not forget Joe Besser was also the voice of Babu in the 70's cartoon "Jeannie" which was oddly supposed to be a spinoff of "I Dream of Jeannie".

Yapple Dapple!!

Some Three Stooges fans keep their legacy alive by making this fan film tribute.

And imagine what if the Three Stooges cameo in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" was longer?
Speaking of trying to keep the legacy alive, there's also currently a comic's publisher called American Mythology producing an officially licensed Three Stooges comic and a second line based on the 80s animated series "The Robonic Stooges" which seems to mostly parody Marvel comics.

Its nothing spectacular but its perfect for your kids. And the interesting thing about these is that they actually feature Shemp in a minor recurring role and Curly Joe in cameos.

Larry, Curly and Moe are the purest souls known to man. I’d fear cancel culture would get rid of them mainly because of the fact that they mock everything that there’s supposed to be against:

Actually allowing themselves to laugh at themselves for being self-aware of their shortcomings.

Also, them and Abbott & Costello are the reason why slapstick humor still cracks me up.

A lot of people that don't know about the 2000 TV movie that was produced by Mel Gibson. It casts the stooges' lives in a more negative life and the Moe estate hates the shit out of it.

I had forgotten about that. Wasn't that some passion project (heh) of Mel's for some batshit Mel Gibson reasons?

But yeah as for greater stoogery, the Main 3 shorts are of course god tier
Shemp is good
Spare Curlys aren't really _that_ bad. Obviously they're not Real Curly, but Larry, Moe, and [placeholder] is still pretty fun
the old NES game kinda sucks, but the fact it opens with a pretty solid joke is commendable

add addams family
wait are we talking the NES games or the shows
now that I think about it modern (minus ten years) rewind should make Fester's Quest less dogshit

Addams Family >>>>>>>>>> Munsters
Munsters were a bunch of nerds who were ashamed about being what they were. Addams let their freak flag fly.

Rare Audio of curly Howard speaking in his normal voice. He almost never broke character when being interviewed or talking with fans staying in character as curly whenever he could.
like that footage of Chewbacca talking

Were they really? Munsters were completely oblivious normalfags that were only superficially monstrous and were completely ignorant or confused as to why people/americans were so weird in how they always ran away from them, but they didn't really do anything to hide their monstrous nature. They were freaks on the outside but total normalfags on the inside, even back in Transylvania, so they were hardly ashamed of what they were, with them often poking fun at Marylin behind her back for being a "freak" ie looking human.

The Addams though were almost normal on the outside but completely monstrous and alien on the inside, except for It, Thing and Lurch.

The first Three Stooges short I ever saw was Spook Louder, and to this day it holds a special place in my heart.

My dad had plenty of those vhs tapes that had 3 shorts on them, and the one with Spook Louder also had Men in Black and If a Body Meets a Body, another personal favorite.

The Yoke's on Me is also a favorite:

If I had to pick a personal favorite, that would go to Crash Goes the Hash:

And how can we have a Stooges thread and not mention A Plumbing We Will Go:

So, kiwis, which Stooges short is your favorite?

Abbott and Costello are actually honorary inductees in the baseball hall of Fame. Despite not actually playing or managing a pro team the hall has an exhibit dedicated to their famous "who's on first routine."

It really shows that even with no props or fancy sets comedy can work it's all in the timing and delivery.
No matter how many times I see this routine it still cracks me up. A classic worthy of Homer this one.

Fester's Quest is a O.K. game, it's just hampered by A LOT of things.
  • Continue option is useless as you start from the very beginning regardless of how far you made it before death.
  • Needing to be careful after killing an enemy as to not get the items that DOWNGRADE your weapon
  • Even with MAX upgraded gun/whip, later enemies take fucking FOREVER to die, ESPECIALLY every area boss.
  • The final boss is fucking impossible without potions (both regular and invincible) and even then you need to stand in a "sweet spot" (a.k.a. exploit a glitch) as to not get your shit wrecked.
  • It could do with more health upgrades, as the one in the 1st area building is the ONLY one you can get, making your pitiful 2 hit into a 3 hit
