Honestly with what I've experienced of activism in my life, I'm not sure I believe things were ever actually like that.

How do I know that they just didn't lie about all that Jim Crow era shit, or at the very least twist it. In the modern day every single fucking time you hear the narrative "he was a good boy he dindu nuffin" it ALWAYS turns out to be a lie 100% without fail. How can I be sure that those lynchings weren't justified at this point? Because "he was just smiling at the white girl he dindu nuffin" sounds an awful lot like "hands up don't shoot, he never attacked those cops".
TFW your race grift group discredits the entire civil rights movement.

Not just this. The officer flat out admitted that the technique used by Chauvin is one he was trained in, and instructed to use in such situations. He also confirmed that pressing the knee to the neck couldn't have resulted in asphyxiation.
I love this.
Even if it did cause death, how could the prosecution argue that the act was reckless of and disregarded the danger of a fatality when their own witnesses don't think it's even possible?

I have heard tell that in an estimated 1/3 of lynchings, the suspect was innocent. Which means that 2/3 of them were guilty.

I am hesitant to say anything that implies that lynching wasn't horrible, but there's a lot of noise out there.

I'm reliably informed that women never lie about sexual assault claims so all of those lynching were accurate and just.

You're right, I worded my post poorly. Lynching isn't ever justified because mobs going on moral crusades is always bad. By justified I meant more along the lines of the target was guilty as accused rather than an innocent bystander.

You people are racist, sexist, pig men. How dare you not want to brutally lynch a man who

  • Brutally choked out Floyd to death
  • Purposefully cut off blood flow to death
  • accidently killed through escalation doing wrong restrain
  • Accidently killed through desescalation doing wrong restrain
  • Didn't immediately start CPR doing wrong restrain
  • Didn't immediately start CPR doing after doing right restrain while being threatened by crowd

It would be a shame if....

When you have to move the goalposts this much as a prosecution you're probably in the wrong

I mean as always I think ya'll are a little too riding high, I think this is a real rough case for the defense still.
In what way? The case is very cut and dry as far as murder goes and even manslaughter would be a leap.

The only thing going against Chauvin is the jury potentially having drank the koolaid. If that's the case then the verdict is a forgone conclusion anyway.

Not much, actually. Minneapolis Police Chief, Medaria Arradondo, was definitely playing to the prosecutor's tune, and stated that Chauvin “absolutely” violated policies on de-escalation, use of force and offering medical aid when he ignored Floyd’s cries for help. On the other hand, he also admitted that he isn't certified to make such judgements.
>be a criminal
>if arrested just constantly scream i can't breathe
>i can't breathe
>even though you obviously can breathe if you are repeatedly screaming that you can't
>cry for your drug dealing whore who you call mama
>die
>now you have an awesome kill count
>half the country burns to the ground and you are sainted
