For the record, this isn't just restricted to police work. Any job can get infected with this kind of bullshit. All it takes is one asshole that SOMEHOW got into power and even after learning what goes on within the company will still make radical changes that will piss off 90% of the people working there that actually know wtf they are doing way better than the asshole that got the cushy position in the first place.
