So for those who may have tuned out when the Judge called for another break, or for those not watching. The judge clarified with the lawyers that the reason he denied the sidebar of the prosecution earlier when Nelson's witness was questioning Dr. Tobin's testimony from last week. Turns out the reason why the Judge denied it was because he thinks it should be allowed but that the prosecution will also have 24 hours to address it. Meaning that they could potentially bring back in Dr. Tobin tomorrow, which honestly might turn out bad for Nelson and the defense.

It's a very big deal, but Im going to wait until cope/sneed until after cross. If my African boy can hold up it might show the jury how big of a quack the mick is.

She started her career back when Brooklyn Center was over 90% white and I wouldn't be surprised to find out she's basically had a desk job for most of the time it's turned into a spillover zone for Minneapolis ghettos. So she's getting back on patrol to a completely different city demographically with what training she has being decades ago and a few inadequate refreshers in the meantime with barely any real world experience to keep it fresh. I'm admittedly talking out of my ass here and maybe she was somehow out on patrol her whole career being a walking train wreck (seriously she screws up multiple times before the 'taser' and screws up her partner's attempt to gain control of Daunte twice while trying to 'help' which is what caused him to think he could run in the first place) while somehow avoiding something this bad until now, but a lot of her other duties (Union president, honor guard member) scream that she was a glorified bureaucrat with a badge.

I would be willing to bet that Nelson wasn't prepared yesterday for how aggressive all of the prosecutors would be yesterday (a pretty dumb miscalculation on his part). From the sound of things, Blackwell (the one who was objecting during direct) will be conducting cross exam for this doctor. Hopefully for the defense, this witness was prepped better for the prosecution's cross exam tactics than the one from yesterday. Still have no idea if Blackwell will be playing semantic games like Schleider did yesterday, but it would be a safe bet. Today's direct testimony does seem a lot tighter than yesterday's, at the very least though.

Calling it now, Chauvin will get railroaded and higher courts will deny and dismiss any attempt at an appeal in some vain attempt to pacify the BLM thugs OR he'll luck out and get a mistrial thanks to one juror dissenting.
