what I did know, was that some klance content did get leaked because some storyboard artists happened to be fujos. And from what I understand there was some degree of infighting between the writers in general.

Idk, Land of the Lustrous has nothing to do with Steven Universe other than the concept of "gem people". Even their origins are different (from space apparently? vs. organic material turned sentient on earth itself). It's certainly a better use of your time though.

An argument could be made that Steven Universe was inspired by Jem and the Holograms because of how you had women that could materialize themselves out of inanimate objects, and if you look at the unaired demo for Steven Universe, many of the previous iterations of the three gems looked like something from an 80s girl band, like Girlschool.

He also worked on Rebecca’s thesis film, Singles, and lent his voice to it. Ian Jones-Quartey was also a Something Awful goon, and he did flash animations in the late 2000s. This is also the origin point of the Shmorky connection, as according to Amanda Mullen (Shmorky's Ex), Shmorky and Ian J went to High School together. It’s more likely that Ian J got Rebecca into CN than Pendleton Ward as EZ PZ’s video claims.

The fact that it's much better than those retarded videos is a compliment, OP. However I believe you're wrong on accusing Steven Universe as the one that started the decline of western animation. I'd argue the show that did that was Adventure Time, given it's terrible pacing and all the politisperging it suddenly shoves down your throat after the first few seasons that had no plot. I think it'd be more accurate to say Steven Universe made it worse, given that unlike adventure time, it wasn't hiding its retarded messages in plain sight until CN turned a blind eye but rather started with them.

His video was good for what it was - he watched the show, pointed out that it is bad, has hypocritical morals, shitty characters and full of woke messages, so there is no surprise why it's fanbase is so terrible. The follow-up where he responded to the comments where fans of the show that teaches about being tolerant and kind threatened to kill him and called him A NIGGER was a pure gold though. I beg to differ a little, while it's true that adventure time started some trends that ended up in the shitstink that is western animation now it was steven universe that was open and overt in it's progressive themes meanwhile Adventure Time slowly devolved into a weird pseudo-existentialist cartoon as a result of a combination writers projecting their traumas and the audience growing up with the show

You're mistaken. I don't hate E;R, if anything I find some of his videos to be better reviews of media than any other soy infused fencesitter could give. However, I think you and I watched different videos because E;Rs video is nothing like his content is today or nowhere near as good as his Netflix's Death Note videos. I re-watched the whole thing recently, and 80% of it was just the equivalent of a SIG copypasta and 20% was actual harsh criticism. I don't exactly disagree with him in many regards, such as the whole thing with garnet's VA being fucking atrocious, the whole fusion meme being a very wrong portrayal of relationships or the first season being the same episode over and over but the video is overall kind of retarded and given that the quality of his videos has increased I think he believes that too, given that he hasn't tried to reupload it. I had to re-watch it by proxy of someone else.

I will however agree with you on something: Watching the fandom fucking implode at him making fun of the show and ending the video with garnet preaching nazi propaganda to steven will never not be the funniest thing that has happened to that fandom.

That still doesn't exactly mean Steven Universe started it. That it worsened it though? 100%. Rebecca sugar just took the chance that CN didn't give a rats ass what she did because she worked on Adventure Time so it must mean her show is gold. At that point, CN was already turning a blind eye on things, so she could basically worsen the situation by making tumblr fanfictions into a show.

SU didn't even try to hide it at that point, unlike other shows before it which started that shit by making it more obvious, such as Adventure Time.

Steven Gayverse came out when I was just out of high school so I was basically the main demographic for tumblr. And by god I was in it DEEP. I used to be a very outspoken leftist liberal/progressive person who was very biased on your political beliefs and such. Once I got out of college, I became pretty jaded to all that and became mainly centrist.

I also used love SU and the lore/production behind it. I will always say that this show had a great soundtrack, beautiful background art, and color direction. But it’s the story and fan base was the deal breaker.

I feel that Minecraft SMP and Dream is the evolution of the rabid SU fan base. They’re just as blood thirsty and parasocial.

And after that, popular anime is the current hub for these parasites. Because anime fans have been getting severely more retarded lately.
