Parents should actually be parents and not let their kids have any electronic devices than can connect to the internet. They especially shouldn't be on Discord either. People probably already talked about the Uzaki-chan drama here, but the amount of people seething about it always made me laugh. Also I'm surprised that this thread is still going after 2 years, I didn't think it would have enough content to keep it going for so long. Especially now that a certain someone has disdain for topics like this.

Drama over an anime titty gremlin persisting for 2 years shouldn't be surprising. Not with how some people want to keep bitching about shit even after it logically should of ran its course. I miss that era of the internet. Those cows were cringy but at least it was entertaining and genuine. But over time I started seeing why people called them creeps because they would brag about showing their younger sisters hentai, harass straight/gay men, and just be generally unpleasant to be around at conventions. Now it's escalated to the point where they think that liking yaoi makes them some sort of LGBT activist. Some of them become avid loli haters because oddly enough, loli fans have more support and acceptance than fujoshis. If you remember Noralites, she made a video complaining about the Dragon Maid characters because they're "totally problematic". Meanwhile she had no issue drawing the My Hero Academia boys kissing each other because it's not as dirty.

Yeah and that's the saddest thing. I knew a group of fujoshis IRL before the term had been popularized and they were the best. This was the early days, legit Pre-Toonami. Buncha Sailor Moon fangirls and they were a delight because they actually made the connection of "Oh yeah! My interest in Yaoi is the same as guys who like Yuri!". They actually GOT the parallels which was why I enjoyed their company so much. They sperged about their husbandos, I sperged about my waifus, and we had a good ass mutual time. Though yes they did kinda sorta act as LGBTQ activists, at the same time at least one was in a lesbian relationship and another was Bi (and last I heard is currently in a relationship with a woman) so I think that counted.

But something went wrong and modern fujoshis don't make that same link. SOMEHOW they think they're innocent and pure and the men are disgusting and vile. This SHOULD be easy to call out but I guess girls on the internet are too coddled or something and no longer have to face legitimate arguments.

The thread is awkwardly presented and confusing, but incidents surrounding this never stop happening. This isn't about defending lolis, it's about people who streach the definition of loli so wide it covers pretty much everything and then declare everything to be pedos. Honestly it has gotten worse now because so much of modern culture revolves around Virtue Signalling. People wanna be seen as proud crusaders of justice defeating a great evil even if they have to invent their enemy out of whole cloth.

That said this thread is probably disappointing to most of the Farms as it's less flagrantly comical cow antics and more an old weebs support group.

Yeah, no. This is late, so I apologize in advance. Lolicon is a shorter version of Lolita Complex which was originally a psychiatric phrase coined in the mid century to refer to men primarily attracted to pubescent girls (hebephilia for preteens and Ephebophilia for girls all the way up to 20), not children. Lolita was 12 in the book in which the phrase is based upon. The phrase has never been used in relation to pedophiles, even in Japan, which uses other terms for people attracted prepubescent children.

On that note, there is an entirely different word for pedophile altogether in Japanese. "Lolicon" only translate to pedophile if you use google translate which is notoriously bad for Japanese or only consider the direct and most literal translation (also bad). Even though Jisho does use the term "pedophile" because it is a rough English translation, but it even states that it is derived from the term "lolita complex". Given that lolicon is a loan word and is written in katakana, contextually you'll generally only see it in reference to when it is a "lolita complex" and it will never be used in reference to actual pedophilia directed at literal children.

The term for that is (ようじせいあいしゃ)幼児性愛者 which is written in kanji and hiragana like native japanese words are. It is read as Yōjiseiai-sha or Shōniseiai-sha. There is a reason lolicon is written as "ロリコン". It's because it is a loan word and the direct translation doesn't even matter because no one uses the direct translation of it nor should you. Even on Jisho that lists the direct translation, it still has a caveat that it is basically "Lolita complex" and other definitions include "childlike women".

If you had any understanding of Japanese beyond just being able to use google translate, it's something many people actually understand. No one uses the term "lolicon" seriously or in reference to actual pedophilia because it is a loan word and there is a native japanese word that already means that.

So there seems to be some trouble in paradise among nsfw artists on twitter. An account called AntiCaughtIn4K posted this set of tweets from a fairly popular artist.

He states that, "All characters here are 18y+ COSPLAYERS" in order to avoid facing scrutiny about drawing fictional characters that are underage in their respective series. Now I find it rather confusing he would say that because if people want to look up lewd cosplays of anime characters they have plenty to choose from, plus it's adult women who are taking those pictures anyways. Also from what I've seen, Asuka, Rei, and Shinji don't show signs of aging in the rebuild movies. Their bodies still look the same from when they appeared in the original series.

I looked into his reasoning behind that post and it turned out other people were calling him out for being a hypocrite because of several pieces of Auska and Steven x Spinel porn. Because of this he made a lengthy post earlier today about how he really felt.

I understand not everyone is comfortable about drawing certain fetishes, but you don't really get to act morally superior about it especially if you draw any kind of NSFW content. Saying that, "at least I don't draw x" isn't going to mean shit if you're drawing characters getting their asshole blown out. I don't understand why they took issue with incest in particular because it's a fairly common porn scenario. If fictional characters happen to be involved in it, then there's no real detrimental effects. The reason why "everything is permitted in fiction" is because of the fact that REAL PEOPLE aren't being harmed. It just seems that he lacks some self-awareness when it comes to his line of work.
