So here is something that I'm sure will get everyone's attention on this thread. So if you're aware of any recent events, Twitter decided to follow Reddit's example and they finally banned the word "Groomer" being used in context as a slur towards the LGBT community and some people just had their accounts suspended on Twitter over this.
Now me as a free speech advocate, this concerns me because this will give Big Tech an excuse to start cracking down on more speech (in this case, they'll probably start forcing people to just stop talking about predators on the Internet in the name of protecting the LGBT community by that point) but on the other hand this will most likely nerf the antis on social media platforms (such as Twitter) as these new upcoming rules for the ToS of Big Tech services will start applying to them very soon.
For now, they're going to apply this in context of a slur used against the LGBT community but I'm sure seeing how Big Tech is embracing these new crackdowns on people talking about groomers, I'm sure they will be expanded later on what their own definition of what is a slur or online insults really are just like what they did with online hate speech, edgy comedy, and online violent content a while ago anyway.
