IMHO this all comes down to virtue signalling. None of these fine specimen
actually care about "imaginary pedophilia", what matters to them is that everyone else sees them pretending that it matters to them. Outside of their twitter / social media accounts, how many of them do you think do any sort of activism to prevent pedophilia, or the spread of anime-style drawings of underage characters, imaginary or otherwise? I'm fairly certain I don't need any hands to count off the number. This is never going to go away, as long as a free internet exists, so I find it a tremendous waste of my time to
go out of my way to encounter things on twitter that make me mad. But maybe there's a silver lining here, as these fools provide good entertainment, so I hope they will forever keep tilting at windmills, since it's certainly entertaining. This however raises the question of the motivation behind these posts. My take on this is as follows:
The whole "pedo police" thing is akin to a clique of sorts, where everyone jerks each other off over "busting pedophiles" and posting the same "FBI OPEN UP" comment for the millionth time, while simultaneously not accomplishing one thing worth of significance. And that's really all it comes down to. I'm pretty sure you have to be on the spectrum as well, since any ordinary person that sees something upsetting or unpleasant (cartoon drawings of underage characters) actively avoids encountering it again. I have to wonder what those people were up to that led to the discovery of the material in question in the first place, because when I log on to twitter, I am *not* confronted by naked fictitious children. If you're a weeb and surround yourself with weeb things, you're going to come across sexualized imaginary children. It's sort of part of the package when you import something from a foreign culture that has a vastly different take on things. If they can't handle this without their fragile morality shattering and spaghetti falling out of pockets, then perhaps it's time to pack up and move on to a different quirky pastime. The whole "I deliberately entered a thread about a topic that I don't like and now I'm mad how could this be happening to me" meme comes to mind.
I had a pretty good laugh at "JuSt BeCaUsE Im A mAp DoEsNt MeAn I hAvE tO sUpPoRt LoLi", that's weapons grade mental gymnastics right there. Actually impressive. No, I'm not attracted to loli, that's totally disgusting, I only get turned on by organic free range children! Miss me with that weeb shit!
