Child pornography is a crime whether you look at it or produce because it's exploitation of actual children. Even looking at it even if you don't produce it is encouraging producers to create more because your desire to look at it is fueling a demand that the producers will supply if that demand exists. Animated or drawn lolicon and shotacon are not intrinsically harmful to actual children by their mere existence, hence why some countries do not ban them.

In short, both sides are punished to prevent more child porn from being made and to discourage anyone from encouraging the creation of more child porn.

Seeing as how this guy said "obsessing", I have this to ask: define obsessing. Show me what exactly is "obsessing" within a thread? If that refers to showing screencaps and having some discussion, I don't think that is obsessing. Obsessing would be more one trying to bump up this thread for it to stay relevant with low quality post and making up things.
