shintaro kago's manga about two girls trying to get a giant wedged shit out of one's ass with a spoon. Second only to the grease story by junji ito, that was the first and only time I ever had to put something down.
 
I just started reading berserk from the start since muria's death. After seeing the real "golden age" and knowing where the band of the hawk go after being killed, it makes the story of guts way more depressing then I originally thought. Most manga have a vague idea of "afterlife" but knowing anyone who comes into contact and sacrificed by apostles goes straight to hell (Rosine's parents, the Slug lord's wife, entire band of the hawk ) hits hard. Almost done with the conviction arc so I wanna see if this ramps up even more.
 
Ito ain’t that bad, is it just your first experience with guro/j-horror? His stuff is more funny than anything.
 
Ok, since I'm exposed for touching sinful japanese coloring books, I'll throw a couple more.

Ichi The Killer - the scene where twins torture that guy and his girlfriend.

Homunculus - I'd say entire manga, but the final arc somehow makes it all even more fucked up. And it's a shame, because otherwise the story was good and the characters were solid.

Devilman and the part where crazed mob comes to Miki's house.
 
Pretty much everything by Shintaro Kago is nightmare-inducing. Also, Hideshi Hino's work is reliably disturbing,

Oh shit, dude, that cover of Bug Boy was so unique and disturbing, I've never forgotten it since the first time I laid my eyes on it and read the description in 500 Manga Heroes & Villains.

I read a doujin or manga called Pain Princess and it truly bothered me. It's sick. No sex, but there's a little girl and torture involved. I don't know if it's ryona or guro, but it's definitely deviant and genuinely disturbed me.

It's tough to genuinely disturb me with fiction. The only case I remember is the Governor making out with his zombie kid in The Walking Dead. It was wrong on so many levels, and it happened so suddenly and unexpectedly that I just felt natural revulsion. It was still mild because I was aware it was just some colorless ink on a page, but it still counts.

That's when I knew the television adaptation was going to be dramatically different from the comics though lmao
 
"Higanbana": Teacher gets stressed and turns to raping a bullied 10 year old girl in the bathroom of the old buildings. 10 year old victim grinds her teeth, imagining she can "grind all her enemies' bones in her teeth. Both make a deal with a porcelain doll/Yokai, to become Meso Meso. In the 4th chapter, teacher kills victim, then rapes her corpse to become Meso Meso. Doll tells him. "Im....so disappointed in you. You disqualified yourself~"
Girl transforms into Meso Meso and gets her wish to eat her rapist.

I dropped the manga instantly.
