Realizing we're now as far away from the xbox 360 as we where from the nes when the 360 first came out, 360/ps3 was 19 years ago and the nes was 19 years before them
I remember how big a deal it was that xbox360 was in high definition. That was like finding the 4th dimension to me. Also it was The last real generation of consoles.

Growing up during a time when The Simpsons was seen as edgy and controversial. Had to sneak to my neighborhood friend’s house to watch it

Hearing all the bands I liked as a teen get classified as “dad rock”

Having people in their 20s ask me what the world was like before 9/11 and being genuinely mystified at my response

Having to use passwords instead of cloud saves to pick up where I left off in vidya

When the stuff you grew up watching/listening to is now considered "retro".

Listening to 'classic hits' radio and hearing something from like 2009, and realising that's 15 years ago...
On that note, listening to a radio station that plays classic hits (mostly from the 70's and 80's), and they start adding songs from the 90's to the line up, and realizing that those songs you heard in your childhood are over 20 years old.

Electric car charging stations used to look cool.

(Anyone else remember going to arcades in the 80s?).

Fuck dude I miss arcades. Tempest blew me away the first time I played it. Wasn’t even so much the games (although they were definitely a highlight) but just getting a group of friends together, each one of you with a roll of quarters in hand and having fun for a couple hours, maybe grabbing a slice of pizza afterward. That social aspect of doing something together in person.
