Realizing we're now as far away from the xbox 360 as we where from the nes when the 360 first came out, 360/ps3 was 19 years ago and the nes was 19 years before them

I remember how big a deal it was that xbox360 was in high definition. That was like finding the 4th dimension to me. Also it was The last real generation of consoles.

I had a minion tell me that Sum 41 was classic rock. I felt myself age in real time.

Right now it's seeing how grey I've gotten in the last couple of years. I didn't have any just 2 years ago!

Reminiscing about the things that exististed in the spaces all the Dollar General type stores now occupy.

Growing up during a time when The Simpsons was seen as edgy and controversial. Had to sneak to my neighborhood friend’s house to watch it

Hearing all the bands I liked as a teen get classified as “dad rock”

Having people in their 20s ask me what the world was like before 9/11 and being genuinely mystified at my response

Having to use passwords instead of cloud saves to pick up where I left off in vidya

Looking at zoomers talking through mobile phones.
Why are they hodling them horizontally, screen up, away from face.
Why.

Too many things. Sometimes, it feels like society has changed too much. Especially in ways I don't like. The attitude zoomers generally have towards a lot of things is both annoying and alienating. But then again, perhaps I am just a bitter old curmudgeon.

When the stuff you grew up watching/listening to is now considered "retro".

Listening to 'classic hits' radio and hearing something from like 2009, and realising that's 15 years ago...
On that note, listening to a radio station that plays classic hits (mostly from the 70's and 80's), and they start adding songs from the 90's to the line up, and realizing that those songs you heard in your childhood are over 20 years old.

Electric car charging stations used to look cool.

People talking about xbox being old, motherfucker my first video game console as a kid was an Atari 2600. I remember being blown away when the NES came out, it smoked the Atari. Plus, I could play a bunch of arcade games at home now. (Anyone else remember going to arcades in the 80s?).

(Anyone else remember going to arcades in the 80s?).

Fuck dude I miss arcades. Tempest blew me away the first time I played it. Wasn’t even so much the games (although they were definitely a highlight) but just getting a group of friends together, each one of you with a roll of quarters in hand and having fun for a couple hours, maybe grabbing a slice of pizza afterward. That social aspect of doing something together in person.
