Currently it seems to be "cool" to be left wing, so obviously if you're retarded with no political views you would label yourself "LEFT".

Not quite. Assuming you're referring to GenZ in the US, they overwhelmingly align with the Democrat Party which is a Neoliberal alignment, not Left wing. The Democrats may be to the left of the Republicans which is the other Neoliberal party in the US, but they are very much not on the political Left.

If you want to understand the difference (it's quite stark) read something like Jacobin, which is US-based and actually on the political Left. You'll notice they spend as much (or more) time attacking the Democrat Party as the Republican Party, since from the viewpoint of the political Left, both US political parties are Neoliberal and have more commonalities than differences. It's somewhat like how a staunch Libertarian views the Republican Party - as mealymouthed fake interlopers of a political ideology.

One example would be the support of all this rainbow capitalism and identity politics based on intersectionality - these are things not just supported by the liberals in the US, but actually foundational to their Democrat Party Platform. And yet the political Left is largely against it since it's seen as a tool of Capitalism used to divide the lower and middle classes. That makes the political Left foundationally opposed to the Democrat Party.

You see the same thing on the right (and left actually) when it comes to support for foreign wars. The political Right is completely out of alignment with the Republican Party as is the Political Left with the Democrats. The Right sees it as a waste of resources (and morally corrupt) whereas the Left sees it as a tool of the Capitalists to enrich themselves (and morally corrupt).
