Has someone requested him to reack to those skits they do with Biden Obama and Trump AI voice? I wanna know if he'll say something like "DOOD THIS IS OBVIOUSLY FAKE OBAMA WOULD NEVER PLAY CALL OF DUTY WITH BIDEN OR TRUMP THEY'RE TOO BUSY"

Hopefully he does. He's be confused and probably end up spewing some bullshit about it being illegal.

Phil isn't so autistic that he can't tell fantasy from reality. Those are the people who are incapable of living without a carer because they aren't safe to use a stove, or tools, or much of anything on their own. Phil's incapable because he's too entitled and lazy to do things on his own.

When it comes to is this real or fake stuff like that, I'm ambivalent. I lean towards him just being dumb and so unsocalized that his latent tism makes him entirely incapable of reading tone or body language, but its also just a way to pause the videos and get an opinion on it from chat. Mixed bag.

I see some people claiming that Phil is terrified of having his lies exposed and I don't understand where that idea comes from. Phil's lies have been exposed--many, many times. It never matters, because he either sticks to the lie or thinks up new lies.

As for the main topic, my completely unprofessional opinion is that he suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder combined with mild autism and a naturally low I.Q.

A routine trip to the shrink would do this goutlord the world of good. The main trouble with Phil's psyche is a result from isolating himself and never having anybody to tell him his shit stinks. He unloads troubles onto his audience, and disregards feedback that doesn't suit his fancy. Without the laptop, he's just a man talking aloud to himself in a room alone.

If he had a hard-nosed Dr. Cox brand therapist to set him in line, I reckon many of his odd personality quirks would melt away. Is there some program in the States that qualifies you to a free psychiatrist visit if you are victim to online harassment?

That or the BestBuy gay op saga where Phil's Mio bottled water is spiked with ayahuasca. That would either cure his derangement or boost it.

Doctors simply can't help those people that don't want to be helped, buddy.

My dad stopped being a general practitioner because the patients would always lie to him about their conditions or refuse to follow his advice... like losing weight. For as public as DSP is about genuinely lying to himself, he would most certainly lie to any medical professional to protect his ego... we saw how much getting made fun of for having gout (a completely remissible disease) made him cry about the detractors attacking something he has no control over (he does).

If DSP ever does see a therapist, I hope it's recorded.

I don't think Phil would ever show his paranoid extremely angry side to a therapist. He'd walk in and talk about how he has a robust mature swim suit model wife and a beautiful furry little boy and how happy he is. He might bring up his Youtube trolls but in a way that would make him look like the victim so his horrible behavior would never come up.

My instincts tell me a psych saga is on the cards, simply because Phil is going to want other real people to talk to eventually, and is possibly going to desire to escape the house and will need an excuse to leave. Who is going to argue with a man like him going to a therapist? Psychiatrists are notoriously pricey affairs, and with Phil's proclivity to blow money on subscription services with no tangible benefit, this might appeal to him.

Phil claims there is no drama on this streams and he just wants stability. But evermore it's looking too stable, i.e. boring. What happens when people regard him as a weak inoffensive drip of piss? He's gonna gravitate towards something different to arouse attention, he always does. Once interest wanes he shocks everyone with a revelation or a change-up. Perhaps the change ups are done to keep himself distracted lest he dwell too much on his prison life situation.

Another element worth calling attention to, is that Phil has a behavior pattern of rejecting advice only to eventually go whole-hog with it. À la direct capture, implementing facecam, moving to Twitch, the leaderboard. Watch him turn down suggestions for him to get his head looked at, and then eventually surprise everyone with a reveal that he has been privately doing so for years behind-the-scenes. Yes, your money has been going to paying for these sessions. If you like me and my content, you should respect my need for discretion here and understanding because mental health is important. Influx of tips rolls in, vanished 100K debunked, world keeps spinning.

I don't see it because Phil believes there is nothing wrong with him - it's the trolls who need therapy, not him, he's just an innocent victim of these nudnik psychopaths. Even if he wants more IRL socialization, which I doubt, I doubt he'd consider seeing a psychiatrist because he probably thinks seeing one means he has a problem, not that he can pay someone to be a captive audience for his lunacy.

But psychiatrists aren't instant gratification whereas gacha + Doordash are. Combine that with Phil's belief that he has to remember to have fun now that he's an adult, and seeing a psychiatrist would probably come after placing 1st in WWE Champions.

My opinion is that Phil has diagnosable NPD, among a slurry of other mental illness, and that the last thing he would do is seek or genuinely engage in therapy.
Phil loves the little cage he built for himself.
He can sit in there all day and laugh at his own jokes, play Internet Tough Guy, and pretend he's a real person.
He could go completely paranoid shut-in screaming into the void crazy and he still wouldn't feel like the walls were closing in on him because he would never for a moment self-reflect and wonder if there was something wrong with him.
Phil is not interested in other people. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say everything Phil says about other people is projection, because Phil can't imagine what anyone else's experience of life is like. Not even his cat that he locks in his bedroom and calls a liar when it scratches to get out.

Just adding onto this, but it isn't only the lack of instant gratification, but the possibility of self-reflection/someone daring to question if he might be in some way responsible for any of the issues in his life is more than enough to turn him away. I'm sure there are some psychiatrists that don't really care about their patients and will basically say whatever they want to hear/feed into their delusions, but I'd like to think that isn't the average experience and, at the very least, whoever Phil saw would initially offer some level of respect and talk to him like an adult.

I'm also not sure what Phil would go to therapy for in the first place. Therapy is generally when you recognize there is something internally wrong in your life that you need to fix. Phil has shown a few glimpses of self-awareness, but it only lasts for a few seconds at most before he somehow turns it around to blame trolls/detractors/the fighting community/all of Argentina. Even if he does acknowledge his potential unhappiness, he'll just blame any of those groups before thinking he might be the problem.

I don't think DSP would even go to an in person session and demand it be over email, or at most over a phone call. The "man" is clinically fucked in more than one way, he knows he's fucked, maybe not every aspect of the peril, but, he at least knows that he will never pay off his taxes. He is still living his best and most happy life ever though guys, trust him.

@Cyber Bowling
Remember when Phil called to book an appointment to get his greasy balding hair cut, but learnt that his regular hairdresser had relocated to a far off place? Instead of accepting the change, he drove out of his way some lengthy distance outside his comfort zone to have his previous woman do his hair. Kinda creepy. It's not like his hair requires expert care. He probably craves those real-life relationships, or wants to keep his options with women open, or it appealed to his propensity to blow money.

Let's not forget Philip is a genuine eye-talian. Or at least he desires to be regarded as one. In an old vlog, Phil displays a painting of an Italian countryside hanging above his bed, which he assures us is not authentic. lol, what a perfect analogy. In other vlogs, he's sporting a tough-guy leather jacket and wearing a chain around his neck. I don't know if he's spoken at any great length about Tony Soprano or Frasier Crane, but there are curious parallels between him and those fictional egomaniac protagonists.

I can totally envision him actively seeking out a female psychiatrist to drive a wedge between the bothersome wife and to roleplay some more as being the emotionally complex cool Tony Soprano. Considering that Phil's physical and mental health is declining by the day, I can imagine one bad turn would be enough to trigger a desperate desire to be repaired, and would go about it in his trademark oddball approach.

Eh, maybe I'm overthinking it. But for me these little things amount to a confident hunch that the psych saga is not off the table.

If Phail goes to a psychiatrist he's just going to create another detractor. Narcissists are notoriously difficult to treat and psychiatrists fucking hate having to deal with them. I read a bunch of their experiences when trying to treat narcissists and it sounds like a nightmare, the funniest thing is that the "prestream is a talk therapy session" meme isn't too far off from the truth. During psychotherapy narcissists just love rambling on and on and on about themselves and how much they are simultaneously the conquering hero and the blameless victim.

I don't think Phil craves any sort of real-life relationship, it's part of why Khet was such a perfect fit for him/a large part of why things didn't work with soulmaid 1.0. Leanna wanted to actively go out and do things and not just sit around in the snort fort, she even dared to invite people over while Phil cowered in his office.

Phil's comfort zone more or less ends at the front door of his condo, to the point he seems unwilling to even interact with delivery drivers. But Phil is also a creature of habit and in general seems pretty afraid of change. It's why he tends to be several years behind any streamer trends, part of why he never upgrades his technology etc. All that being said, it's not impossible he'll make changes around his routine, but without some sort of outside pressure, I don't think one of those changes is seeing a therapist. I guess seeing a therapist online is technically an option so he can stay in the comfort of the snort fort, but again, I just don't think the desire is there.

I don't know if he's ever technically compared himself to Tony Soprano, but he's definitely alluded to it, or at least the generic "tough mobster" style persona.

I'm genuinely not sure if he sees Khet as bothersome, or if he's believing his own delusions about them being soulmates. Given that he is shamelessly showing her off on stream and still acting like she's a trophy wife, I'm inclined to think he believes it. While Phil sometimes will lean on depression or other "emotionally complex" things, it's usually to excuse past behavior. He's way more likely to spend 40+ minutes insisting that he's happy and successful because his pride rarely lets him admit otherwise. Even when he is crying about being depressed, if someone in chat says he should get help or make a change, he'll switch gears and get defensive and talk about how he's never been more successful/happy/etc. If the message comes up at the right time, he'll literally do it in the same breath as when he was begging about some sort of reemergency or talking about his dark days. Phil is strange in that he both loves being the victim, but is too prideful to let people think he's unhappy.

I think whenever he has a bad turn, Phil becomes his own psychiatrist/hype man and just starts talking up how great his life is until he believes it. Phil is an awful liar, but he's good at convincing dents, and that includes himself.

It's definitely something I'd gladly take the L on because, knowing Phil, he wouldn't be able to keep it to himself and would sperg out if his psychiatrist dared to disagree with him, but he'd also overshare if it went well (or if he thought it was going well) and basically recap the sessions for us and give us another warped look into his mind. But I'm not gonna be holding my breath that it actually happens.
