THQ Nordic’s 8chan Q&A - And the salt mines of ResetEra

Thread on /r/games is unsurprisingly a bloodbath

I suppose it should come as no surprise that people are so retarded about information that was only 5 years ago.

For all their obsessions with the GamerGate bogeymen, they don't know a single thing about it - and by extension - 8chan.

The funny thing is I'm sure they did market research, and realized that posting an AMA on 8chan might get their game sold, while posting an AMA on Resetera just means they'll have to apologize for their privilege and then get doxed. I don't think Resetera buys video games that aren't either Nintendo or woke indy games talking about the trans experience.

A lot of people are talking about them so I agree with this.

Shame they cucked out, but it's expected and understandable.

Ain't the guy who runs it (Mark) a cow himself?

He has plenty lolcow traits like accidentally sharing his nudes on the internet and getting Sega's PR team to make fun of him, but seems to have a sense of humor about it.

Doing an AMA on Resetera won't convince them to buy games, but it won't scare off outsiders like posting one on 8chan would. The best approach is to be as neutral as possible to avoid alienating people.

It won't convince REEE to buy games (they don't buy games) but it will convince the kind of angry nerd who calls himself a "gamer" NOT to buy any of their games for cozying up to the enemy.
