I think it's because everybody even if they did not say it wanted Chris to somehow win.
We seen him get trolled into Oblivion and people pretend to be his girlfriend for years and a lot of us wanted to see the underdog actually win in the end.
We wanted to see him get a girlfriend and maybe an apartment to find some form of happiness.
But then he did something so monstrous and despicable that we realize he would have never been capable of that kind of life.

Another thing about this is we have been studying him intently for years.
Literally no one could have seen this coming to the point where we owe the weens who used to post about Chris having potential to be a sexual predator a apology because we would basically tell them to fuck off Chris is not capable of that. Turns out they were right they somehow seen the end game.

We have been studying him for years and literally no one seen this coming and now people are putting together the pieces and noticing the warning signs.
Which is why his content no longer feels the same to us because instead of just seeing some classic Chris yelling because he wants a girlfriend we now see a incel in the making.

Every other day I would pop on to the cwcki to drop in and see what he has been up to. maybe have a laugh or two.
Then move on with my life. But now that we have finally reached at the end or at least close to the end if my theory about weens and YouTubers contacting him from prison is correct then we should take this as a warning to pay attention to the warning signs and that even the most laughable lolcow is capable of some kind of horrific act.

A Greene County autistic has been arrested and charged in connection to sex crimes against a family member.

Christian Weston Chandler, 39, was arrested by Henrico County police Sunday, according to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held without bail at the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange County.
Chandler has been charged with felony incest, which can carry a term of imprisonment of not less than one year nor more than 10 years and a fine of up to $2,500. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending, the release said.
Also known as “Chris-Chan,” Chandler has been the subject of obsessive internet vitriol and trolling for more than a decade following the creation of his “Sonichu” character and web comic. Chandler was arrested following a Friday post on a web forum dedicated to his life in which texts and audio purported to be from Chandler describe a series of sexual assaults against an elderly, cognitively disabled member of his family.

Has Barbara been officially found to be with cognitive decline (aka Alzheimer's) or are they basing this off of internet rumors? Her exact mental state seems like it's entirely speculation at this point.

Ed also thrived in an institution, it's kind of crazy how much better he did - not that he was sane mind you, but he wasn't at risk of hurting people and was eating regular meals.

That's what immediately jumped out to me as well. I can forgive Newsweek or whatever not mentioning it, but it seems strange that a local paper wasn't interested in mentioning this local sexpest has gotten into trouble for violent crimes before.

I am in disbelief and will still be for a while. 2020 never truly left us it made a sequel and got worse.

Thank you @Ginger Piglet for the link. Part of me wondered if it would hit the Metro but I dismissed it as too niche. Guess I spoke too soon.

For the non-Britbongs: the Metro is a free newspaper that people tend to pick up at train/tube/bus stations over here. The idea of commuters turning the page and being confronted with Chris' mugshot is like something out of the Twilight Zone.

Fuck that all these media outlets are made of boomers, but if I happened to work in one of those I would totally try to get a scoop/interview with Chris ASAP for dem clicks.
