She also had revenge porn from her ex boyfriend but the reasons why he uploaded it was he said/she said type shit.

The whole subculture of auditory-focused ASMR almost seems like the logical conclusion of new musical genres that fly in the face of sonic etiquette.

Western culture has historically treated sound as serious business. It has long held superstitions that the semantic and emotional meanings of various sounds are just a simple fact, not a byproduct of learned associations – an angry sound literally conveys anger, and the word "bear" contains the very essence of a bear. Then we have the whole tradition of music theory, classical music, and setting objective standards for "good" music. The general standard was a "galant" sound, one that our culture distinguished from noise in the same way that it distinguished itself from animals.

Orchestras were historically associated with bowed string instruments, which can require years of mastery to get a tight sound from. They were based on a through-composed ethic – a 10 minute composition that repeats itself 30 times is in fact 20 seconds of music. They also taught that serious musicians were to read from the staff as if it were language, with a correct and incorrect sound. The dynamics used were also subjective on paper, but that essentially teaches listening.

Classical musicians read and listen to music the way polite, neurotypical people read and listen to each other's words. Folks don't think of decibels or relativism when someone is a lout, much like classical musicians don't argue with their teachers that their forte is in fact piano. They don't improvise.... and when you think of it, improvisation is almost an impulsive thought pattern. Making up something on the spot that sounds right without citing any sources is lying. Even the audience etiquette reflects this speaker-listener paradigm – would you talk over everyone and finish their sentences?

The marriage of African-American folk traditions with European folk and classical traditions then led to the creation of genres that deviate significantly from this truth of music. Jazz added improvisation and loud beats. Rock added distortion and a tolerance for rude sounds. 80s added buzzers and blended dynamic profiles. Metal added satanism and tuneless yelling. Rap let go of the idea that you needed a tune and live performance at all. Then came all the nebulous genres, up to and including harsh noise music... which doesn't sound that different than a radio tuned to an off-station.

But is the fact that no one calls ASMR music, despite it fitting many liberal definitions of music, proof that this is the ultimate subversion? Of people using microphones in ways their parents warned them not to? Have we gone from circles where coughing is impolite to music made entirely of sounds often considered bad manners? Sounds that, while generally not loud enough to cause hearing loss, often trigger people's pet peeves and metaphorically hurt their ears. The sound of a distorted electric guitar has lost its shock value... it shows up in mellow music. Same with the sound of a synth... it can be quite soothing. Heavy metal itself has lost its scare... you can hear Highway to Hell quietly blaring in CVS without people threatening to take all the Desoxyn. But is this the final taboo?

I know people who absolutely can't stand the sound of gum chewing, yet have no problem blasting 110db of Kim Petras on the 710 freeway as I beg them to turn it down... Is this the ultimate taboo? Can we get more punk than this? Who knows.

Angelica has been continuing on some kind of spiral.

I'm a little bitch faggot who didn't bring screenshots and receipts, but she's been manicposting IG stories with Bible verses and religious themes. Claiming that queer culture = grooming children and the answer to solving consumerism is Catholicism. She's super Catholic you guys and she loves God and the world is such a scary scary place and some holy reckoning is definitely coming but God is going to protect her.

Considering that a LOT of her ASMR content had extremely heavy Social Justice Warrior themes, this is an extremely unprecedented and weird turn of events. I actually stopped watching her content entirely because I was sick of her nonstop Tumblr leftie tangents. She also (iirc) had several videos that either hinted at or explicitly stated that she was attracted to both men and women.

Predictably, her "trans fans" are having meltdowns and literally crying and throwing up rn, guys I can never watch her content again, she's literally ok with queer people being literally exterminated like literally rats you guys, #cancelangelica.

She posted a video today where she appears to be standing on a construction site maniacally rambling. She's also added a cross after "ASMR" in the title and is wearing a cross necklace in the video. Most of the video involves her picking up rocks and doing things with the rocks (such as asking the camera which hand the rock is in) while rambling about how planes are sky sharks, bees are cats, the Rolling Stones suck, the Unabomber, wearing makeup is just like mental illness, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.


Maniacal rambling is a normal part of her videos, but coupled with her bizarre behavior on other social media, it seems a bit more insidious than normal.

From what I've gathered, her mom died recently. I think she's also moved back in to her childhood home, a recent videos of hers was filmed in the same room that she used to film in 6+ years ago.

She's also got some real real weird simps/fans in the comments of her videos since her manic conversion to Christolocism. They occasionally interact with each other while also behaving like complete schizos. Meet Rocktricity, SkkLsls, and Shawn Phillips.

Rocktricity seems to just be a classic cringey simp who overdoses on emojis.

SkkLsls posts 5+ comments on certain videos, many of which are non sequiturs, also calls her "princess" a lot. He has directly referenced Rocktricity in some comments and doesn't seem to like him, likely because he sees him as competition for the affection of the "princess".

Shawn Phillips is a newcomer to the Angelica schizosimping game but is absolutely unhinged. Both he and SkkLsls seem to comment things in direct response to things she says in videos, without any timestamp reference or anything.

On an unrelated note Littleangelasmr/ibokkiasmr after having been mia for at least 2 years id guess has officially deleted her youtube and instagram pages. I think she had already taken all her stuff down but left the pages up. On a possibly related note someone a few months ago posted her real name, Rebecca Haller-Trost, as well as her college in her social media girls thread. The thread was promptly deleted as that type of info isnt allowed there.

I got into ASMR due to Beavis & Butthead showing a Gibi video. I found it interesting but the more I watched of her, the weirder she got. I just watch Whispering Willow and Sophie Michelle now, they don't do titty videos. I would never tell anyone I know IRL that I watch it because I'm a faggot . I can only imagine how fuckin weird the community is.
