TikTok

[Apologies for the weird format - I was going to make this its own thread in PG, but realized this thread exists and thought it would fit in better here. Don't KF before you've had your coffee.]

Amanda Rose is a TikTok content creator who has gone viral for her videos of her extremely filthy home.

By "extremely filthy," we're not talking just clutter or the usual mess that comes with having young kids. Amanda's videos show a house in an extremely dire state. Dirty diapers are left all over the house, including on the carpet and in the couple's bed. Leftover food is left out to mold and draw flies. The family's cats' litter box is rarely changed, and the cats urinate and defecate all over the house because they don't have a clean area to do their business. Overflowing garbage cans. Mold in the bathrooms. All of this with two young children living in the house.

Amanda's defense for all this is that she's a lazy mom who doesn't always feel like cleaning. She has claimed to have struggled with depression/PPD and ADHD which gave her no motivation to want to clean. Some of her viewers have asked why her partner doesn't help out, and she claims he's an even bigger slob than her and doesn't even notice the mess. She's also complained that she never wanted to be a stay at home mom and doesn't enjoy it, so she does the bare minimum in terms of housework. (Amanda has a very snarky attitude toward anyone who tells her to literally get her shit together.)

So, how did we get here?
Amanda made a sort of tell-all storytime video to explain her backstory. She was a wild child who left home at 15, before dropping out of high school and becoming a teen mom. She worked in a lawyer's office at one point, but left that job because she thought she had a good work from home opportunity, but the wfh job was a scam. (This is what she claims, anyway.) Previously, her partner had been a stay at home dad while she worked, but after the wfh job fell through, they switched roles.
Interestingly, she didn't go into all this until after she had started getting comments from people calling her out on the disgusting state of her home and threatening to call CPS. So, many people believe she only opened up about her past to try to elicit sympathy.

It's worth noting that many people suspect Amanda may have substance abuse issues. She's a massive pothead and has straight up admitted to smoking weed throughout her pregnancy with her first child. Viewers have also noticed large bottles of alcohol in the background of some of her videos, there's one video where she's cleaning the bathroom and there's a massive bottle of wine on the counter.

Before achieving TikTok notoriety, Amanda and her partner were amateur porn stars under the handle "mrbittermrssweet." Much of their content is still available floating around on porn sites.

Ashley Caselman aka 'Mama Owl' (@mathmax) is a TikToker with 2.4 million followers. She posts your typical millennial cringe, but she's primarily known for her "skits" or "retellings" of traumatic experiences submitted by her followers. Her most infamous "skit" involves the reenactment of a substitute teacher sexually assaulting a transgender student.

Sorry for the dopaminemaxxing. This was the closest thing I could find to a full reupload.

Mama Owl's old (and particularly cringe) TikToks have been resurfacing across the platform prompting a "hate champaign" against her. Trolls have been spamming her TikTok comments with, "Hang on Mama Owl... 𝓘'𝓶 𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪 𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓵" (in reference to the "Freaky Bob" meme) and various other references to her content. Due to a recent change in her employment history on Linkedin, it's speculated that she has been fired from her job as a teacher.

Here's some more of her content:

So I made my foray into TikTok, as an extra platform to put my music onto and even record the process of composing it. All of my songs are instrumental yet they get muted due to some bullshit copyright problem. They don't even tell me where the complaint comes from so I can call the person or company a huge faggot and air out my grievance. Yet, I find these profiles ,which are just fetish shit. they all wear these gimp masks that look like a dog. There's a shit ton more, it has me confused as hell because TikTok has a word filter and if someone live or a guest say anything it gets the owner of the account punished. Their word filter doesn't just pick up slurs, it picks up innocuous words like cigarette, ban, gun and some words used in everyday parlance. The jannies at TikTok don't want to hear nono words but the sexpests are fine to be in their fetish gear.
I really think I'm too old for TikTok, like half the shit they say I don't understand, then get reprimanded for telling a dark joke. People there also get extremely ass disastered, some dude was acting like an internet tough guy because somehow I insulted his sister. I definitely don't remember doing that.
It's such a strange platform, and if I decide want to nuke it, I'm gonna do somethings that are really banworthy.

I had the misfortune of watching this video and lose a few braincells. Yet I could not avert my eyes.

This is the first thing I find in the tiktok thread and already I feel like I'm fucking going insane like that one scene from The Clockwork Orange.
Not to TMI but I have ADHD and it's hard to keep up with this brainrot. Tiktok is 100% dumbing down the masses.
