(I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread for what I'm about post or just resurrect this thead. At the end I went with second option.)
Buckley has started a Kickstarter for the purposes of printing all of his old CAD comics (i.e the ones that predate his decision to retcon the series) in three volumes. As can be seen in the Kickstarter page, the project still has 14 days until funding is over and it has not only reached its goal of 150,000 dollars, but also made about 250,000 more (who would pay for this crap?). Buckley in response has added a couple of additional stretch goals, and is currently hoping to reach 500,000 dollars.
Proof it's not a joke
I actually remember where my brother bought this, our primary school had book fairs back in the day and he bought it there. THEY SOLD THIS TO CHILDREN
Yeah, I was wondering why he needed a Kickstarter for this when he's put his comics into print before.
That said the collector's set looks pretty nice. It's just too bad it's being used to house such a mediocre comic. The artowrk he wants to put on the covers of each book only drives home how CAD was lazily made, because it's so much better than anything the comic has ever produced (and still somehow shit).

That cover is so stupid. First off where would he even get dynamite as a civilian and second would putting it in the toaster do anything? Tim Buckley is a retard and I'm better than him.

I went to his panel at Connecticon last year and he stated it was going to be his last final convention appearance and he showed up late to the panel. It was one of the most depressing things I've ever been to. Like a grand total of 6 people were there.
