Except Rocco doesn't have any insider friends at Google to suppress Adam's channel grow

Adam was on a roll and had some decent views when he had all those guests on before the last strike. These strikes & timeouts sound more like a vindictive group of fkr's going through his shit on purpose and reporting them just to fuck with him. Listening to Rekieta last week IIRC Adam said a video from over a year ago was flagged and he got a strike which caused him to have another Timeout.

Looking at both Social Blade & Playboard. From what I can make of the numbers and the graphs, I see that in July of 2020 Adam had 2,490 subs, between August & Sept 2020 he was able to up those subs to 168k subs. These are the subs, I am speculating, Adam was able to take with him from Timcast IRL due to Adams last Day being middle August 2020. Probably made up of die hard Tim haters and crossover viewers. By Dec 2021 he had 192k subs. As of today, he still has 189k subs. Where are these viewers? Why are they not watching his You Tube channel? It looks very much like it is not shadow banning that is causing his channel to not see any growth, it is the overall percentage of the low viewership of his videos compared to the amount of subs he has, combine that with the many timeouts from strikes limiting his ability to upload new content on a consistent basis, it is easy to see that You Tube algorithm is not going to be of any use to him recommending viewers to watch his videos. If Adam wants You Tube growth he needs to Live stream M-F without missing any streams for several months or longer and upload clips on the weekends too. As well as not getting any strikes or timeouts during this time. That is how he will see growth. SocialBlade info I am no fan of Adam's show, but I hate fkr's who flag shit just to be assholes more than I dislike him.
* If Tim had that much clout at Google he would be using it to get some real incriminating google docs, videos & other spicy shit taken down, not to shadow ban Adam who is not a threat to Tim's business.

Unless Tim is controlled opposition. Note that he's the one person who isn't shadowbanned. Adam does take some of Tim's viewers--the ones that saw just how poorly he was treated by Tim--and can turn into a whistleblower for just how degenerate Tim's company and people actually are.

Assuming Tim isn't controlled opposition I think the reason he isn't shadow banned is because he actively avoids anything too controversial (aka stuff you're not allowed to talk about) and basically never touches a story unless the mainstream says its okay. I can't think of a time on his podcast he had someone who outright said "the 2020 election was stolen" or "the vax is bad"

Tim does a lot of alluding to things, and I think he would be shadow banned if it weren’t that he achieved a fairly high profile.

I mean, somehow he landed the gig of Jack Dorsey’s inquisitor on the Joe Rogan show a couple years back.

Most likely it's just some rando doing it and not anyone like Tim or Rocco. No matter who you are, or how innocuous your content is, you'll still have people who go to extreme lengths to fuck with you and they will send death threats. I don't think I've seen a channel yet that hasn't stopped showing their kids in their content because of threats to those kids over time, and some of those channels were just "here's how you play X class in WoW" so it's not like they're saying anything controversial.

As for his audience, the problem with youtube is it's a very fickle place and you kind of have to depend on the platform working with you to keep things going as people constantly cycle out, and even if you do get a ton of impressions the conversion rate can be very variable.

Anyone watch last nights timcast? I may or may not be a dragon age fan but idk if I can sit through 2 hours of Tim interrupting his guest. Any highlights?
Jeez I haven't watched Tim's show in a long time now and I was a consistent watcher for a while. I think the last time I watched it was when Daryl Davis was on. I'm probably just burned out on that kind of show too.

Tim is 100% controlled opposition, but probably in the way @Value Size said. I don't think he receives marching orders from anyone but I think he works really hard to appear like he's raging against the system when in reality he's extra careful to follow the rules of the system and adhere to the demands of those who are the system.

I stop in every so often to check it out (usually if im doing something mindless like cleaning). I then proceed to turn it off the second I hear him start telling a story he's told a million times already. Last night I shut it off when he brought up the a phone golf game having microtransactions as an example of unlimited economic growth.

Okay. I know you fucking nerds don't watch Tim's videos, and you only think of Tim as a podcaster and Cast Castle and look at the dipshit cohost who thinks aliens exist lol. Listen here. I am telling you to watch this one video all the way through. This video is, unironically, literally, without any exaggeration, 26 minutes of Tim shitting on a 13-year-old girl. It is the most amazing video I have ever seen Tim put out and I hereby recommend that @Ariel add this video to the OP because it perfectly encapsulates Tim's manchild-ness with all the stupid skater lingo he uses, as well as his narcissism as he repeatedly drifts off topic only to dive back with laser focus to the female skater so he can resume dunking on her over and over again.

Also, at one point Tim admits that he lost a skating competition to a 13 year old boy when he was 19. What a manlet.

Tim showing his economic illiteracy again. Microtransactions are not an example of "unlimited economic growth." There is literally no such thing. Microtransactions are an economic drain because it contributes to nothing tangible. Nothing is produced or at the very least nothing is produced equal to what was spent.

He should have dumped on the 13 yr. old girls parents. They are teaching her that athletic abilities between girls/boys/men/women does not exist. They are lying to her.

Bro you can be salty about troons ruining the world some other day, I am feeding you liquid gold content right here. Just watch it and laugh.

Not trying to trash you, but this is ridiculous assertion that doesn’t line up with clear evidence to the contrary.

Digital items are not an economic drain, specifically within the gaming market. If that were the case, you wouldn’t see it plastered on every AAA game. I briefly talked about the economics of the game industry prior to DLC on the TotalBiscuit/Jim Sterling thread and I would be glad to expound on it further, if you would like. To put it as succinct as possible: DLC and micro transactions have revolutionized the gaming industry for employees and most have no idea how absolutely shit the industry was in the “good old days.”

I have to give it to Tim on this one, what you're referring to is essentially labor value theory but in reality subjective value theory holds true most of the time.

You can argue it doesn't contribute towards progress or pragmatic use, but it does hold value to the person buying it and unless things have gone to complete shit in the world the ability to purchase digital goods is reflected by real world production of other goods and services that were produced so whoever could buy that product. So yea, if you base your entire economic growth off of digital goods that are only functional in a game it's not sustainable long term, but if it's part of a more complex economy it does have its use as any other form of entertainment.

I think the other thing people don't get is that for most people the freemium game model is beneficial to them if they have any self control. I've played a bunch of these F2P games and didn't really spend anything on them but thanks to whales the servers continued to run and I could enjoy the game for free at the expense of those whales essentially. Even when I did buy something, at least I knew I enjoyed the game instead of pre-ordering a product that was garbage like people often do.

I'm also just tired of people bitching about Diablo Immortal and whatever, sure it's a shit game, but don't play it then. I gave it try, didn't really like it and didn't play it. I also never felt the need to spend money on it because my enjoyment of the game doesn't depend on some legendary gem or whatever and the guy who dumped thousands of dollars to get one made his own decisions and he's an adult who should know better, in fact he does know better because he probably figures he's going to make far more off of idiots who cheer him on. I'm not saying people can't call games shitty because of how they lock out content, I just think that when someone is acting as if it's some kind of great moral issue of ethics they're retarded.

Obviously microtransactions are a big deal for gaming studios. I was referring to the economy as a whole like Tim seemed to imply: the idea that the economy can keep growing based on imaginary assets being bought with disposable income. These assets have no real world worth and are often sold at a markup far beyond it took to actually produce them. The dev studios receive a ridiculous sum of money for something that can't really add any value to something else. Imagine if a factory made only broken tools made with the cheapest material but it had the supreme logo on it, so everyone buys it up. The factory gets a good pay day while everyone is left with something that can't add any sort of value to another thing. Of coarse, you could just buy quality tools else where, but in a vacuum the economy takes a huge hit as this supreme tools are effectively worthless and can't do anything but be a status symbol. Therefore it is kind of like a drain. You mind as well just give them the money and receive nothing.

What I'm trying to get at is that Tim is effectively saying (and more then likely unintentionally saying) that the economy can keep growing solely on commodity items. I don't think he actually believes this, just something he said trying to make a point with out thinking about it.

Also, yes. Please tell me more about the economics of the game industry prior to DLC, sounds interesting. But you may want to message me though. My reply is already borderlineing off-topic discussion.

“imaginary assets being bought with disposable income. These assets have no real world worth and are often sold at a markup far beyond it took to actually produce them.”

This is what I find interesting, and I’m not trying to be a dickbag on this, but just saying that I see this exact line of responses often.

You directly contradict yourself. “They have no worth.” Yet, they “are often sold at a markup far beyond it took to actually produce them.”

I’m not saying these are directly contradictory, but there are gaping holes of logic.

I will gladly DM you a message with citations in a few days, as much as a few weeks. My schedule is FUBAR right now, so it’s all fucked on my end and really shitty. But if you don’t hear from me, then feel free to trash me on the forums and/or I’ll either respond or you can grind my already shit reputation into microfeces.

I have had TONS of “Free 2 Play” mobile games that were fun and offered good experiences. The reality is that production cost has risen on all fronts. Jurassic Park 1 CGI isn’t gonna cut it. But it could if the backstory was good enough in a gam that was engaging. It’s a generation of fucktards that have never experienced a Choose Your Own Adventure book complaining about useless shit.
