Tim put out a preview of the new song "Eyes of Advice":
Tim had Cliff Maloney, the former president for Young Americans for Liberty, as the guest.
Ian & Phil were co-hosting.
I was looking up more on this guest, & apparently he had an interesting tussle with the law. He was accused of sexual misconduct, leading to his removal as president of YAL, in 2021.
After that, in 2022, Cliff was accused of drugging, then sexually assaulting a woman in 2013. He was brought to trial, but found not guilty on four of the six charges, with the remaining two dismissed later in the year.
Clip Collection:
-Ian is just giving the panel good vibrations:
-Tim mentions wanting to bring on a Roman Empire historian to discuss parallels with our current times. Could Tim rein himself in enough to let a historian talk, at length, about a topic?:
-Tim takes the midwit take of "offering money to Clarence Thomas to quit the U.S. Supreme Court" is not bribery, because it is not "changing law & policy". Ian says offering money to change the make-up of the Supreme Court may be. Tim fails to take into account intent, which John Oliver is trying to affect government policy via removing a conservative justice during a liberal administration:
-Tim donated $10,000 to the GiveSendGo campaign of Dylan Brewer, the 19-year-old that burned out on an LGBT crosswalk & was charged with felony criminal mischief:

-Tim does not seem to realise that the average person that qualifies for a student loan does not qualify for a $100,000 loan to buy "gold". Though by the end, he is arguing for not going to college & accruing the debt, in the first place:
-When a super-chatter brings up how George Carlin would be pro-Palestine & for The Current Thing, Tim disagrees & says he would not, because he "cited every racial slur known to man" & called black comedians "the n-word". Then, Tim compares Carlin to American soldiers in the 1940's being "a product of his generation":
