I actually get a kick out of this stuff, the more ham-fisted or melodramatic the better, and have a collection of clips growing.
Station 19 (firefighter soap opera) did a two-parter about George Floyd. First part showed 9/11 level reaction to news, episode also included an asshole cop character who goes around insulting everyone (and breaking covid protocol)
Second part they brought in a grief counselor. The entire episode was about firefighters more traumatized by hearing about George Floyd on the news than all the fucked up shit they've experienced first hand as emergency responders in a major city. A full hour of dramatic monologues so just some highlights. We also have an Asian character's mom being spit on by a "crazy maskless woman" who is both a covid denier and blames "Kung flu" on Asian Americans. Some unintentional humor when he asks a black woman why these hate crimes against Asians aren't on the news. Also includes the "Despite being only 13%" meme and the line "Another black trans woman was killed today..." delivered earnestly
This two-parter was followed up with an episode about Breonna Taylor. Don't have clips handy atm but it includes a black firefighter saying it could've been her because Breonna Taylor was a "black female first responder" just like her. They depict small businesses being destroyed in riots, including her parents' restaurant (mentioned in above clip as her backup plan for employment if she loses her job for throwing bricks at police stations). Her parents are interviewed by a reporter and they insist they approve of having their restaurant burned down: "Let it burn because justice needs to be served, and if this is what it takes to make people care and make those officers held accountable, and any officer who did it and any city who allowed them to do it, then let it burn."
Grey's Anatomy also had a George Floyd episode where similarly hospital staff are so shaken they are given time off to "rest" or protest. Back at the hospital, a parade of protest injuries including a doctor whose head was split open by a "neo nazi," a woman with connections to MLK impaled by a gas canister, and a teen who literally says he "didn't do nothing" shot in the chest with a rubber bullet. Meanwhile, a black doctor is pulled over in the most melodramatic traffic stop ever. Also, a relatively symptomless covid denier tests positive then immediately dies in the parking lot after forgoing treatment.
You may notice a trend here in both shows, where the seriousness of covid conflicts with gathering en masse for protests. When you think about it, it's quite a stunningly bold decision to combine these two issues in the same episodes. Miraculously none of the people attending protests test positive. They just handwave it as "eh as long as they wear a mask it's probably fine," while a doctor in full astronaut suit frightenedly backs away when a patient takes off his mask
