Times when you have felt genuinely sorry for Chris

Honestly there's plenty of times I've felt sorry for Chris usually because he's in a bad situation. The fire was a big one, the loss of his Father, his mother emotionally manipulating him and the list goes on.

But then Chris always manages to fuck that up in one way or another and I go right back to the calm indifference I had before.

The fire was a big one
Man, losing your home was hard to fuck up, but he warmed up screaching at Keurig like if it was their fault (while disregarding the thousand things he did wrong) and then he went and threw a fit about firemen of all people allegedly stealing worthless trash from the hoard.

Probably just parroting Barb's white trash shit, but still, seriously, fuck you, Chris.

Like who criticises and accuses firemen of incompetence and theft? seriously now...

Did he think they were working with the big bad jerkops as well? Oh no worse then that, they specifically sought out to steal valuables in their household when they were just doing their job and to save the house he was living in.

Oh yeah I guess he wouldn't understand that. Just because they have a semblance of authority doesn't mean they're out to personally get him.

Anyone who's in uniform or authority is out to get Chris, if he thinks they don't suit his interests cause of his entitlement. Another reason why it's hard to feel sorry for him.

Anybody that has been through a fire like that you feel for. It's terrifying, you wind up losing so much and when you get back to your home it doesn't feel the same. Not to mention the smell of smoke is still there even years later.

But Chris had to fuck it up by being extra demanding and bitchy. If anything he really showed his hand during that time. Instead of being grateful for the care packages he complained about them. Then spent the money sent on stuff he didn't need.

Where's there still smoke, There's Still fire.

Like several others have said, the fire and Bob's death. I felt sympathetic and a twinge of 'okay, this has gone too far' when I listened to a couple of the troll calls, but maybe I'm just a bleeding heart.

she was just as spergy as chris he could've had a chance.
Realistically (as history shows) he never would have, he screwed the situation up with her and while she was a bit of a creepy weirdo herself, Chris at that point in time was more of an exceptional individual then she ever was. I think given a longer period of time as well, she easily just would have distanced herself from him once she came to the realisation just how abnormal he was and how he would have treated her, just look at most of the situations when Chris interacts with other women...

Chris has no chance with any girl because inherently what he wants is someone to be a mommy who he can get from sex from. So no matter how weird the Wallflower is, Chris never had a real chance with her because he isn't interested in an actual relationship.

Feeling sorry for Chris is easy. You'd be hard-pressed to hear anyone but the most vitriolic declare he deserved the Idea Guy saga or anything like it. Similarly, Chris getting a legitimate win (such as the Batman Caller) is invariably hilarious. Many moments in Chris' life are absolutely heartbreaking, from the deaths of Bob and Patty to his gradual retreat inside himself as a defense from an internet that wants the caged monkey to dance.

The thing is, Chris always makes you lament ever feeling bad about him when he doubles down on the fuck-up, which he does basically every time, and when this happens, even the most ardent of Chris defenders quickly realizes you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him shut the fuck up about Sonic's arms.
