The key point with those tourist subs is they never go more than 90'/30 meters underwater. And dealing with 50psi pressure is not that difficult these days.

I think the one in Honduras can go down to 2000, its hired by Marine Biologists as well as tourists, the guy who runs it knew Rush and tried to warn him his sub was a fucking death trap, its the only one that goes anywhere near that deep though, the tourist ones mostly go down to see reefs and stuff, not much point taking tourist sight seeing groups down where theres no light, the sort of stuff tourists want to see is mostly at scuba depth.

I'm disappointed that there aren't more underwater tours, even if they aren't in the deep sea. Like if you could make something that looks like a whale that you could sit comfortably in with massive windows in, and tour the edges of the coral reefs and all the fish living there.

Tours like that would sell. Instead of scuba diving you have a small sub, people sit in there with comfort, large viewing windows to see out of and maybe cocktails as you admire the reefs and stuff.

Would take a lot of capital as those types of subs would cost several million dollars plus the need for upkeep and maintenance. But I could see it working.

To be technical there are "Probable Human Remains". In 25 years of scrapping all sorts of Human Remains off the street, I've never before come across that particular turn of phrase. "possible Human Remains" sometimes. Mostly if they don't know if its an animal bone. But "Probable Human Remains"? Yeah that's a new one. That means "Well it's certainly something organic in nature, and there wasn't anything in this bitch but people. But we'll be damned if we know what that is or where on a human it comes from?"

There are a (very) few women dead on top of Everest, one of the dumber and more typically male places to go, especially after we more or less know what's up there anyway. Despite that, it's a garbage-strewn tourist wasteland thanks to these clowns (and I don't just mean the corpses). There's no good reason to go there just to gawk with a probably much higher risk of dying than on Everest, for bragging rights when you did nothing but pay money to sit in a tin can anyway.

At least Everest is sort of a peak athletic achievement.

You are probably thinking of OceanGates CFO who, after Rush fired his chief engineer got tapped by the big guy to become the new pilot. I guess, because he thought a woman piloting the titan would be "inspirational".

She Basically told Rush he could go fuck himself. There was no way she was going down in that tin can. She quit instead, realizing the man was fucking insane for asking her, an accountant, to pilot what was essentially a space shuttle. Especially since she was offered the job because the previous pilot got fired for saying it was unsafe.
