Titanic tourist submersible goes missing with search under way

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.

Apparently the audio of the explosion has just been released. So far I'm just finding it on this TikTok which has the audio as a ten second but in the middle of the video.
Too bad it's not very interesting. They should have been streaming from it. That way watching all these dumb cocksuckers die would at least be amusing.

It does not ma

It does not matter it they have 10 hour or 10.000 hours left.
At this depth it will take, at best, months to find the capsule, if they ever find it.
It took 70 years to find Titanic itself and that one is hundreds of yards long and tens of stories tall. And now we are looking for a flat box of book-case-Billy" somewhere within the nearest tens of kilometers o the titanic?

They will not find a flatpack pizzabox the size of an Ikea bookshelf hidden in the depths of the ocean in a few hours. Visibility is a few yards, at best. It takes hours to scan and clear an area just ten by ten yards.

We do not have the techology to reliably locate the wreck in months, and that is even if we go globally all out in the search. And even if we find the craft in less than many months, we do not have the technology to recover it in less than months more., because shit this deep, this cold and in so poor visibility takes a long time to plan and a long time to, slowly, execute.
Driving the fucking Mars-Rover is. more responsive and quicker to react and do shit than in eternal darkness at 400 atmoshperes.

Because if nothing else, the remote operator of the Mars Rover can actually see more than 3 feet in front of the vehicle at any time.
So, pretty much all of this post was completely wrong.

I was hoping that the audio was from a voice recorder on the sub but I was sorely disappointed.
Do submersibles have black boxes or something like that? Would be interesting to hear of there were any signs like sounds that signaled their end nearing. Cameras on the sub most likely survived the implosion but i doubt they recorded their descent for power saving reasons. Sadly recovering their personal devices was not a option either.

That would be consider a "safety feature" and Stockton Rush has a strong aversion to them

If I'm interpreting it right, you can hear the implosion rebound, which is interesting in itself. The force necessary to make a collapsing air bubble ignite and expand (possibly twice over) is inconceivably huge.

Would the air bubble to the surface or stay in liquid form and be dissolved or sink?

I get the impression it was so rapid nobody would have had time to say anything. I was kind of hoping for some creaking, clanking sounds and Stockton screaming like a little bitch. "Oh SHIIIIII--" boom. You know, something like that.

There could've been some cracking sounds as the layers delaminated, as they knew something was wrong and were trying to ascend.

Fuck you for making me look at this dumb Tiktok bish for even a moment. I found a nice widescreen presentation on YouTube by searching the title of the exhibit at least.

so this basically confirms the US navy have underwater listening stations around the ocean so they can hear enemy submarines and the like
