Lose weight, you get shit for it.
Gain weight, you get shit for it.

Not to mention unless you are a bodybuilder or an elite athlete, odds are that if BMI says you are fat, you are fat.Being an elite athlete doesn't make you healthy, regardless of size and shape, it just means that one of the things your body can do at a high level is something that a certain group collectively likes to do as a sport.

In most cases, it's pretty accurate. Studies have shown it actually underestimates obesity in the general population (people with non-overweight weight, but high fat but low muscle mass).Eh...not true. it's an okay baseline, but even most nutritionists and physicians admit the BMI is pretty shit at judging overall health and fat. It doesn't account for different body types, muscle content, etc.
It's kind of complicated, actually. It is factored in the classical sense. One of the symptoms of anorexia is being underweight, but in some cases there are overweight people who will start dieting and slowly develop all of the other symptoms - excessive food restriction to the point of starvation, fear of weight gain and what have you - so if it was caught soon enough then an overweight person could be considered anorexic, but they will lose that weight pretty quickly.Isn't weight one of the things factored in for an anorexia diagnosis (as in if you're overweight, you're not going to be treated for anorexia), or am I talking shit?

So being overweight can be unhealthy in even more ways!
Because doctor's trying to prevent someone from having more health problems is so problematic

I vaguely remember from health class that it's possible to be bulimic and still be overweight. In fact, you can even gain weight from the bingeing periods.
Why somebody would overlook the more common occurrence of being bulimic and overweight in favor of being anorexic and still overweight, I have no idea.
Oh wait. It's because crazy.
Blowing chunks after every meal generally isn't very fashionable, even to Tumblrinas.Anorexia is for the cool kids. I guess bulimia is déclassé or something.
