Nowadays, many people claim to "identify" as whatnot, be it a gender, race, species or weight.

Basically, it means that what one is mentally is different from what one is physically. That is often called "trans" too as opposed to cis (when mental and physical identity align).

But, there is a logical flaw inside it: The concept of "identifying as" is based upon the assumption that one is what one wants to be.

If I want to be a superhero, dress up as one, act like one, name myself like one and start to believe to be one and therefore "identify" as a superhero, I still would not be a real superhero since they do not exist in real life, or would I? No, I could not become an attack helicopter or a three feet tall cartoon duck either.

You are not you want or believe to be, you are only what you are. Or?

I think people can "identify" as whatever they want- so long as they don't shove it down my throat, try and rope me into their bullshit by forcing me to call them a SCAR-H or whatever the fuck they think they are, or anything like that.

Keep the fact that you think you're an Apache attack helicopter to yourself, else be prepared for people to laugh at you/call you a sperg/try to commit you to the loony bin. It's real simple, you cannot be something you are not. You can pretend all you want, but don't expect the world to go along all rosy-like.

only the anointed feel like their "identity" should matter to someone else, transgenderism is a mental illness, they are degenerates with fantasies impervious to any real-world considerations

Personally I think its quite stupid but people have been thinking up stupid shit for generations. Fuck tons of people believe there is some dude up in the sky who doesn't like faggots and pork who we should listen to for our entire lives.
