Today (last night) I stayed up all night playing the sims cause I decided screw sleeping, I know it’ll only be nightmares anyway. So I watched a horror movie, drew a scary picture that I didn’t really have intentions for what it’d look like but turned out ok.

Today I did three full loads of laundry, and then mowed the lawn.

For once, it was my own lawn and not someone who hired me.

Fortunately, there are no gardens that needed weeding nor hedges that needed to be trimmed at my place.

I skated down to the pub to watch some high school friends perform with their band and had a tasty sour ale. I also tried a friends stout so he could get a second opinion that it did in fact, taste like honey nut cherrios.
Always happy to see people from high school who didn't turn into disasters.

Today I have smacked myself hard enough in the mouth to leave a bruise. I picked up my tablet to check the time when I was half asleep, but apparently I grabbed the case more than the tablet, and it swung down and smacked right into my mouth. Did not need to wake up that abruptly.

Today I fought a hydra at my programming job. I whittled our job schedule's errors down to about 15 (from roughly 50), only to fix a job that resulted in 15 more breaking, netting me 29 broken jobs. You can't win with our horrible system.

Today, after spending most of my non-working time for the past 3 days trying to troubleshoot my mom's desktop, I finally found through pure chance and dumb luck the cause for it freezing right after showing the login screen: a faulty wall outlet cord. After wasting spending time replacing the CMOS battery, uninstalling/reinstalling software, troubleshooting the startup process, defragging the hard drive, and learning more than I ever wanted to know about rescue CDs and rebuilding the MBR, the power cord eventually proved to be suspect and replacing it with a spare seemed to resolve the freezing as if it never happened.

Today we set up our home security system. The odds of us needing it are small because the worse crime that happens here is bar fights and drunk driving, but better to have and not need it as they say.

I played pinball for the first time in....ever, maybe? Closest proper arcade I know of is an hour away and I never really was interested in pinball machines as a kid. There's a dinky little arcade nearby that has a Wheel of Fortune pinball machine and I ended up spending way too many quarters but had way too much fun in the process.
Favorite thing was the headless contestant.

I have to finish framing a door into a brick building. I done goofed yesterday and made it too tight (back of my mind I knew better) now it’s a little humid and the door is sticking. If my next plan fails I’m just going to burn everything down and become a mountain man.
