Walking around all day like I dumped ass trying to keep my pants up because the belt I've worn everyday for the past four years finally gave up the ghost after I left the house this morning.

It's funny how something so relatively minor can fuck up your entire day.

Today, I finished paying off one line of credit down to zero. Damn, that’s a great feeling, getting a computer paid off before interest started kicking in.

Put together a PowerPoint for a presentation I have to give tomorrow. Staying in a shitty hotel so I can be there at 8 fucking AM to set up.

I also submitted my income shit to my student loan servicer, so here's hoping that my payments don't fucking skyrocket.

I skateboarded around for like, 6 miles partly for Pokemon Go reasons and partly because I was on a quest to find a vending machine that would take the torn, crumpled, dollar I found stuck to a tree. I was unsuccessful and my Shitty Dollar remains unspent.
But I did make a friend!

Today, I had a stress breakdown, but managed to pull it together.

I also managed to successfully grill a burger without charring it too badly for the first time.

Today I played The Sims 3 for six and a half hours. And I am grateful for every single second of it.

Today at the wildlife clinic:
-A wild squirrel snuck into the building and I had to chase it out of the laundry room.
-I had to catch a seagull and move it to a new enclosure and managed to get bit about 5 times in the process.
-A sick skunk came in and sprayed the rehab techs who were examining it. I was about 20 feet away and the smell still sent me reeling. We had every door open, a fan going, and the stink was still so bad inside I spent the remainder of my shift outside at the wash station. I took a very thorough shower when I got home and I still feel like it's stuck in my nose.

Spent the whole day waiting in for my new laptop, only for it not to arrive.
Look, I know I ordered it on Saturday, but if you can't deliver on Monday, don't say you'll deliver on Monday!

Edit: And it arrived today. I'm pretty pleased with it over all. Not the most powerful system out there, but in my budget, I think I did pretty well. Plus I saved £150 by getting an ex-display model.

Did a whole thirty minutes of work and talked about/joked with friends about the Alabama primary filing deadline and people who are running for office. I also started my Christmas shopping; got one of my brothers a new wallet, since his looked like absolute shit when I saw him the other day.

Also, while renewing some URLs, GoDaddy suggested that I buy tj.church, which I have never looked up before once in my life.

Today, I broke my sobriety streak. I made it 2 months without touching alcohol again. Stuff just got really heavy.

I managed to make a pizza and finally finish my book, so there's that on the good front.

Settled a lolsuit with pro bono representation (as the plaintiff) and got paid. Already came up with a sound investment scheme for the unexpected windfall: an anime-themed fountain pen.

After being down yesterday, I was able to reset the workplace furnace today and get it back up and running during our current cold spell without having to arrange for a service call and repair.

I also learned the furnace's filter is probably long overdue for replacement and we don't have the right size filters on hand for it .

Today I got suspended from Twitter for the entire day because I told IHE Sonic was my best friend and he was gonna kill him IRL.

Today, I learned my efforts to restart the work furnace were for naught: it went down again overnight and again during the day, so it was time to call the repair guy. Turns out the filter was so caked with dust that the furnace wasn't getting enough air.

The repair guy removed the filter for now, checked the furnace for any mechanical issues (none, thank Godbear), and only charged us a cheap service call fee because he knows and has done work for one of our clients.

New furnace filters arrive tomorrow and I'll be seeing to it myself they get changed on timely basis from now on.

Today I have confirmed that the more flavor options they give you for something at a doctor's office, the more likely it is that they all taste like absolute death.

Today we went to go buy a little stand alone freezer for meat and what not. Turns out the furniture store was having a sale today. Anyway, our freezer and bedroom set come tomorrow.
