Today I have... Thread.

I had a long day at work today but to make up for it it was also my pay day. After work I went grocery shopping with my big sister and mom. When we was done with that I finally got my lazy butt to buy alpha sapphire and a pokemon shirt. The guy at the game stop was hitting on me and my sister. Overall an ok day.

I backed up literally everything on my my old graphing calculator. Turns out it's only 12 kilobytes.

Had to cancel DnD plans due to my AC being blown up. May have to leave it considering my new work schedule.

Nearly lost my fucking second job because some asshole got caught smoking grass and then was too chickenshit to man up and admit it when the boss pulled us all aside and offered 200 dollars to whoever did it or knew who did it. When no one fessed up, he threatened to fire us all, among other things.

Now we're gonna have a K-9 search our cars and I'm freaking out because I don't want said asshole to randomly choose my car to hide his pot in.

Went to work this morning. My sister called me on Facebook earlier so we ended up doing a video call for a few minutes because my niece and grandparents wanted to see me.

Today I posted about how I saw Trump 2 days ago.

He put roses on Ford's grave and left. A multiethnic group of children were screaming their love for him.

The secret service wouldn't let me on the sidewalk to get a better picture. They pushed me back.

10/10 would see daddy and get handled by the SS again.

My store is having a sale, $1 any size coffee. Someone paid for that with a $100 bill.

Someone else shit their underwear and decided to leave it in one of the little trash cans that are in the bathroom stalls.

Replaced a bolt in a toilet, one of the two T-bolts that fit into two slots in the top of the metal pipe that connects to the sewer. It had broken and the toilet would rock and would eventually break. Just getting to it required taking apart the whole thing and removing the toilet itself, and because that destroys a wax extender ring that seals the connection to the sewer so sewer gas doesn't escape back into the house, that had to be replaced, too. The metal flange it all connects to is fairly corroded and marginal and probably will eventually have to be replaced itself (which only a plumber can do), but it should be good for another 5-10 years or so.

Other than corrosion, wax, and other grot that needed to be cleaned up, the area under the toilet was remarkably inoffensive.

Commissioned an exceptionally cheap and nasty lathe yesterday. I spent several hours adjusting, tuning and tweaking the thing to get the best I could out of it, and it doesn't even cut straight. Awful, awful thing.

I should note that it's not mine, one of the academic staff at the university I work for was given the task of kitting out a workshop, and elected to do so without any kind of input from someone who knew what they were doing.

As a result, to accompany this horrible little lathe, there is also a cnc plasma cutter that will have to be sent back, because there is neither the room, the extraction, the power feed nor the optical shielding available for it.

Strangely enough, he seemed to get the milling machines right, though.

I commissioned a painting of my sisters 21 year old cat a few months ago. It came in the mail today and I love it. The kitty isn't in the best health, and she's had him since she was 7... this seemed like a nice way to help memorialize him. I think I'm going to give it to her for Christmas.

Fitted a little PTM switch to the outside of my MAME cabinet so I can turn on the internal PC without having to open the back of the cabinet and short out the pins on the mobo.

Cut myself a nice bleeder on the pad of my right index finger. Rinsed it out, doused it in alcohol, and then pulled a Fedsmoker and covered it in crazy glue.
