Probably because it isn't as "gratifying" as Twitter. In other words, people can't reply to a blog the same way they can to a Tweet and Tony can't get into arguments when someone disagrees with him so he can disregard everything they say and prove to his followers how "intelligent" he is.

I think that another part of why people are obsessed with tweeting like that is, since you have to *post* a tweet once it reaches maximum length, it gives the impression that you're actually advancing in your project. So when Goldmark, or Movieblob, or Blobson post a series of tweets non-stop, the part of their brains that gets satisfied by sending the message out becomes satisfied more and more.

His argument makes no goddamn sense, either. Apart from completely failing to understand just how very, very, VERY illegal machine guns are for the most part (which is not really relevant now we know the Vegas fuckhead use bump stocks), he defeats his own argument. "Gun control laws LESSEN things like this!" Yes, ok, assuming that's true ... this is in some ways the most unique mass shooting in US history, for several reasons.
