TGWTG Tony Goldmark / "Some Jerk with A Camera" - Some Jerk with a Trust Fund

John Candy was one of those celebrities that went way too soon. I loved him in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Yes, Tony, you are a scab but not for the reasons you think.
How low are his standards that an obese manchild sperging in amusement parks qualifies as "entertainment"?

The Hogwarts Express movie should be Speed with wizards. They're trying to stop a train filled with children from crashing while using magic to do so.

Hogwarts Express: Ron and Harry are caught smuggling heroin across the Scottish border and wind up in Azkaban where they're subject to rape and savage beatings.

Even as a fan of Harry Potter, this sounds like a really bad idea for a movie. There's not enough here to justify a whole feature-length movie, plus the concept is boring as shit; nobody cares about construction, at least not the audience for the HP movies. It sounds more like a subplot than anything and even then it'd just be there to kill time.

It's people like Tony that make me a little ashamed to be a Harry Potter fan.
to be fair, there was a fairly decent Discworld novel about the building of a trainline.

You could probably do it if it was more about the political power plays and backstabbing that goes on. Make it the most deadly game of Ticket to Ride ever, but with wizards and curses instead of "ha, I blocked off your route, fucker!"

That being said, we've already had political power play subplots, like Dumbledore being thrown out by Lucius in Chamber of Secrets. If you wanted to do a "wizard politics" movie, use the fucking Ministry.

The only real entertainment Tony provides is the schadenfreude we get seeing someone who was given every break in life, grew up well-to-do, and then spent his adult life trying his damndest to be the most pathetic, obnoxious, sad sack of a manchild he could possibly be. Tony honestly could be the poster child for all those kids born in the 80's who never really did anything with their lives and avoided adulthood like a plague. Desperately holding on to the nostalgia of their youth, clinging to the things they loved from childhood, mooching off their parents well past college age, actually taking pride in their childish interests and behavior, yet still expecting to be respected and valued like an adult. It's equal parts hilarious, infuriating, and depressing to see these pathetic wrecks oozing through life with the least amount of effort they can get away with.

Ever see the movie The Comedy (2012) with Tim and Eric? It's far and away from a Tim and Eric production but it's exactly about the kind of person Tony is... Only not nearly as fat, ugly or obnoxious.

I haven't heard of it, but I'll have to check it out now.

Tony was given every break in life, but he also suffers from the most crippling disadvantage of all.

:autism:.

Tony is aware about television censorship, right?

What's funny is Tony is one of those "Freedom of expression doesn't mean freedom from consequences" types who thinks people should be shown the door when they say something their bosses/viewers/colleagues/friends don't like.

Sometimes, it makes me glad Tony's a hypocrite. That way I don't feel bad when someone calls him out on his blatant bullshit.
