What I don't understand as a german: Why this extreme hatred towards anything related to the republicans?

Look, I get that there was these "dark times" for those people when George W. Bush was in office and a war against Iraq was started based on lies, there was certain laws put into motion and so on. You know, the time Tony and his fellow idiots were actually just wrapping up high school and thought now they understand the world.

But even as someone who was NOT supporting the Bush era for reasons, why this entire spiel about them playing up the idea of "republicans are inherently evil"? Is it Bush alone? did Reagan and Bush Senior do something in the eighties they don't approve in retrospective? Are they just too dumb to realize that the media related narrative of "Republicans bad, liberals progressive" is not black and white in reality?

Come on, give me something to work here. As far as I know, some of the better presidents of america were actually republican.

The Hays Code and the CCA, for all their onerousness, were at least only rules on what could and couldn't be done. A better gotcha question is to ask them what they thought of the Hollywood blacklist. The MPAA is another example. It is a censorship board but they don't technically ban movies. However, they can damage the release of a movie by requesting cuts for an R rating and they've shown bias against independent films.

The media paints them as gun crazy Christian white supremacists who want to blow up the planet for money/no reason and inbred hicks from the south. Most media outlets are partisan Democrats with the main exception being the often mocked FOX news which is partisan Republican (News here likes to paint itself as neutral even when it's not). As you can tell, someone like Tony only views the world through pop culture references so he buys into this without question. He has told us to accept the establishment's opinion as it's the establishment.

So yeah, a mix of Tony's an idiot and media telling everyone that non-Democrat ideas will "literally destroy the planet, accept nothing they say even if has nothing to do with climate change".

... I am kind of worried for america'S press. I mean, we have some weird news outlets in germany too, but come on. We are more neutral than THAT. And we are the country in which journalists are now getting censored by the government if they dare to question immigration politics.

Let us not forget that all his favorite celebs, his friends, his "coworkers" at Channel Autism, and most of the people on his Twitter Hugbox are saying similar things. He's basically in an anti-Conservative/anti-Trump feedback loop and he's obviously not doing anything or going anywhere to have his views challenged. Any time someone on Twitter says anything contrary to his opinion, he just labels them a "rando" and blocks them. I wouldn't be surprised if he still believes that Hillary won the popular vote, despite that approximately 5.7 million illegal immigrants voted for her, thus their votes not counting since they aren't US citizens. But only news outlets with a Conservative view point reported that, so Tony would probably claim they were lies or something.

Most people who fight for "Nazis' " (a.k.a people he disagrees with) right for free speech are 1.) usually aware that free speech is a two-way street and 2.) don't support a corporation blackmailing a public citizen.
