I've always thought that Trump's claim that Obama wiretapped him was because an NYT article about MUH RUSSIA outright said that the government gathered intelligence on it by surveilling Trump, and he brought that up to get the media to either admit he was wiretapped or the whole Russia thing is BS. In this case I guess they'll have to admit the latter.

It's the "us vs. them" mentality. They are so blinded by politics and partisanism that they would vote for anyone with a "D" next to their name, even a literal Nazi sympathizer, just to beat those mean old Republicans. Just look at how many people like Tony idolize Margaret Sanger, a woman who believed that women who were "unfit or unable to effectively raise children" (any woman who isn't white) should be barred from having children. She was literally a proponent of negative eugenics, within kissing distance of being a Nazi, and someone many Leftists admire, including Tony's bae Hillary Clinton.

True, but in this day and age when nearly everyone carries a device with access to unlimited amounts of information in their pocket, they really have no excuse for being ignorant of that. And especially when you're a politician running for the position of most powerful person on Earth, then you should really research the people you're openly stating are inspirations and idols of yours.
