I liked the new singles, i think the time between albums shows though.
That and all the side projects. A Perfect Circle is great and I don't know what the shit is going on with Puscifer but Maynard spreading himself thin is definitely going to take a toll on Tool. Plus I don't think the dude can scream like he used to, the dude is 55 and it's amazing he still sounds pretty much the same as he did 20+ years ago.

He's coy about it, but twice now on Joe Rogan, when he's asked about the perception that his side projects are responsible for this album's delay, Maynard has intimated that part of the reason he was working with the other bands and making wine and all the other stuff he does is to keep busy, because the rest of TOOL (imo Justin Chancellor and Adam Jones more than Danny Carey) were taking forever getting the songs to the point where he could write lyrics for finished material.

I thought APC broke up for a time though? And I don't know about spreading himself too thin, Chino from Deftones has Crosses, Team Sleep, and Palms and Deftones still manages to put out an album every few years.

So the physical edition is 79 minutes, digital edition is 86 minutes with interludes. 7empest is the longest song at 15:43.

I wonder how many lawsuits they'll involve themselves with after this album drops. Given the increasing length of time between recordings, this may be our last Tool album. Not expecting anything that will completely blow me away, just want it to be more good Tool. that will make me happy.
