Total War thread

Have they said anything about a DLC for those Egyptian undead guys? The Tomb Kings, I think? Nagash was always a pretty popular undead antagonist in the Warhammer world, wasn't he?

Those would be the Khemri.

No, Brettonnia was confirmed to be the last major DLC for this game. The only thing we are still waiting on is the "An Old Friend" DLC, which most suspect to be Toddbringer, as he is the antagonist to the Beastmen's mini campaign, especially as the Empire are now the only landed race (So not counting Hordes) lacking an alternate faction. However, Warhammer is confirmed to be a trilogy that will eventually stitch together Empire TW style, so one of the other games is most likley going to be set in the more periphery parts of the old world like Araby and the Ogre Kingdoms (I have high doubts it will extend as far as Cathay mind you).

But that's a long way off as everyone is fairly sure the second game is going to be the western continents across the sea, with the High/Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Amazons, et al.

And staggered before that is their next historical game, which is confirmed to be a period they've never done before, so Three Kingdoms China is the primary suspect among the fandom.

Total War Three Kingdoms Edition confirmed.
I'm personally going to watch the Chinese Three Kingdoms show to get ready.

Chaos Dwarfs are still sorely needed, but I imagine it would need a revamp of the chaos land. The goblin kingdom is another possibility and would be pretty easy to do, or Kurgans as a human horde faction.

That is going to Koei territory, maybe it will give them some needed competition.

Apparently the entirety of the Korean and Chinese forums are already proclaiming they're pissing on Koei's corpse, long before the game even has a gameplay trailer.

In other news, been using Dryrain's reskins for WH2, and I've really been liking them.

I don't know how they will match to Koei's ROTK as the gameplay focuses more on officer management and plotting then TW series who often focus more on the combat. Either way I hope at least one of the companies will try to make a game that does both perfectly.

Lol fuck off elves, it's Egypt time now.

For Mortal Empires however, Khalida might be my favorite, because she has such a laser focused objective. Kill every last fucking vampire in the world.

Rome 2 added female generals and CA's Community Manager has applied the scorched Earth policy of saying "just don't buy it" and complaining about toxic gamergaters.

Seems like only factions that historically had female generals are getting such generals though.

Not buying more Rome 2 DLC? Now this is a plan I can get behind!

(I'm actually relieved Attila is as unpopular as it is, they're not going back and fucking it up.)

They broke it with the last patch. They made it so all AI bumrush the player, ignoring all other AI factions.

Cruise missile AI? Holy shit, there's a blast from the past- it's right up there with corruption that could exceed 100% in "terrible shit that was in the launch version and very quickly got patched out."

I'll have to fire up the Tanukhids and burn the entire middle east to the ground again.

Makes the WRE on legendary almost impossible

From what I've seen, while female generals were added to the game, they are very rare for the factions that can actually recruit them (except for Kush since having female generals along with males were kinda their thing back then), but people that brought this up made it seem like as though 80% of the generals you can recruit were female, but the problem is that you have to go out of your way to make that scenario possible, most likely by assassinating male candidates or sending recruited male generals to their deaths.

Where the community manager comes in, yeah she pretty much fucked up by pulling a BFV EA response and she didn't really have any business having that position. The big problem is that she got baited into such an obviously inorganic non-issue and that gave the exceptionally anti-sjw crowd something to reee about

Yet another Nontroversy blow up big by hyperbole, wonderful.

I'm finally playing the new Warhammer game but it's hard to take seriously because every time they say Druchii it sounds like dookie and I laugh.

Do they pronounce it 'droochie?' I was under the impression it's supposed to be 'droo-kye.'

They pronounce it as Dru-kee which sounds like dookie. I always thought it was droo-kye as well. The "dookie warriors" always crack me up.
