  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm sure everybody who has been into Touhou has heard of ScarletFlameFlandre, right? The dude who does those 10/15 minute music extensions of every game up to 18 (but not 17.5 in full)?
Yeah, doesn't exactly look very much like a Lolcow, right?

Yeah, on some videos, he links himself as the artist for one of his extensions, this one being from Sumireko's theme. His name here is nettaraxy.

Not bad, right? Sure, she has a big chunky nose and uses playing cards instead of those ESP cards, but still not bad right? But...this is where I found out he's much worse than I thought. He supports the ship of "SakuMari" with some...interesting art.

My first exposure to Touhou was my brother showing me some text-to-speech video about Touhou. Around the time Undertale became popular, I heard some music from Touhou and saw Telephone Awoo. Then it was when fumos and Touhou memes started to become widespread and the Discord server I was in got a dedicated fumo channel. Then it was browsing /jp/ and /a/. At some point I downloaded Touhou 6, though on my current PC it runs at 4000fps and is impossible to play, even when I turn on the frame limiter in the settings. On my last computer where it worked, the furthest I got was the beginning of stage 5 on normal mode.

I can't recall what was my first experience, but I do remember starting as a hard secondary, and an odd obsession with Ran.
The past months I've been trying to move towards actually playing the games, and it has been a blast so far, though sadly, I don't have enough time to actually dedicate into finishing them properly.

Don't worry, most of even us long-time primaries haven't beaten most games. I've only ever cleared UFO and MOF, personally.

Yeah I haven't 1cc'd most games on Hard, let alone Lunatic. Usually 1cc'ing Normal with all characters for me is enough; UM is the only one where I cleared Extra and Hard with all characters.

My proudest touhou achievement is my lunatic DDC 1cc, and I no I did not abuse reimu's omnidirectional gohei or the marisa B resource farming abuse strategy. I'm a strict Sakuya A purist. I also got lunatic 1ccs in IN and MoF but those are the easiest games in the series. UFO hard and SA hard were also very difficult.

Stopped playing when th16 came out.

It's time to become first secondary to beat all Touhou games.

We're still sharing some of the cool things? MMD animator guy from Indonesia started making animations that resemble spellcard fights from games.
However, the guy seems to be a fan of Ultrakill, Made in Abyss and Oneshot, whereas I can think that it's just because some of those may have badass/cute characters, after hanging around some threads here, my :optimistic: is rather waning.

The MMD animator clique has a couple of weirdos. I'll make a post going into detail about it later since I don't have the time for it now. That being said, I do like some of their works, but the animators not using MMD, like MinusT, Mirae Somang, and Jo2n, seem like more stable people.

There seems to be something up with old programs like MMD and SFM attracting quite the weirdos. Seems like SFM Touhou animators are moving onto Blender, however - like FinalLeet and the animators he seems to often interact with, Nonamia and etc. I don't really know much about them other than some do meme animations or whatever shipping is that they are obsessed with.
