I watched the video above about how source code is worthless and they make some very good points.

If I was running WhatsApp and somebody got the entire source code for WhatsApp so what big deal..

WhatsApp is a community of users it is a user base and you can't steal a user base because you have the software to Whatsapp in your hands.

I think years ago somebody like Facebook had somebody that downloaded they scraped all of the Facebook data and they thought that they had stolen Facebook..

You can't steal the Facebook community user base by stealing the data.

So anyway I've decided to give out my source code to anyone that wants it all you have to do is ask.

That's what they all say before they get fleeced. It's even more rigged than the normal stock market because people who own the most cash (like the state) can just change prices and by extension exchange rates whenever they please. Even big boys like Goldman Sachs and JPM got fucked on forex before and have sued for it, and they're a lot richer and smarter than you are.

After watching that video I think I understand that source code is really not that big of a deal.

Why not save yourself some hassle and github it, or a file sharing site and post the link here. I'm sure there will be a lot of demand. You can keep your focus then.

I was only kidding, the previous video was something that made sense on one level but not on another.

He explained how if somebody got the source code for Facebook for example, what harm is going to come to Facebook? Facebook is a community, and you can't steal a community. Facebook is a user base, and it's pretty tough to steal a user base by stealing some software source code.

Trading software is not a community, trading software is not a user base, trading software is a set of functions that calculates whether to buy sell or close or remain neutral.

And that's why I've decided to release it.

Maybe I should charge for it and recoup a little bit of my losses over the last 20 years.

Maybe I could set a price of a 50k dollars and I could say that I'm negotiable but I'm not firm on that price.

Maybe I could just say I want to sell one copy for 5 million.

But after watching that video I just want to release it for free and set myself free.
