The part of working retail I miss the most was firing off a "Have a good day, sir!" as some hulking Mrs. Doubtfire lurched his way out of my store. I always pretended not to notice the gender costumes to not participate in the fetish and also to lull them into a false sense of security. I remember how their faces fell when I hit em with that "sir". Hope I ruined their whole week, like the child in the Bodega poem.

I’ve posted before that I work in an area where coming across up to a half dozen trannies a day is pretty normal. I take enjoyment from misgendering them, but recently I discovered it’s just as fun to gender everyone but them. If for example, I notice a troon in my line, I’ll make sure to clearly say “Have a nice day, sir/ma’am!” to all customers before him. When it’s his turn, I just say, “Have a nice day…”

Pooners at work honestly freak me out more. They’re not as immediately clockable, as the smooth-faced ones could pass as ugly children, but there’s always, always, always this sense of desperate mania about the eyes that says this is a woman who could flip out at any moment, stay away, dangerous. I don’t fuck with them, I make it a point to say as few words as possible to just make them leave more quickly.

However, I finding that almost 2 months in, other parents' support of me has wained. My daughters have been stood up for multiple play dates.

So self absorbed and intent on playing the victim that she can’t even stop for a second to think about other potential causes of being busy. I don’t have any kids but even I know that, if the time stamp of 17 hours ago is pretty accurate, two months ago would have occurred at the end of summer and right around the time school is starting back up for kids. It very well could be that the cancelled play dates are simply a result of the other families no longer having the same amount of free time that they had in the summer.

While I assume ‘stood up’ in this context just means the other parents declined to schedule a play date, even if they did really forget about one and didn’t show up, it’s more likely because of the busyness of adjusting to being back in school than it is any actual transphobic malice.

I still prefer the pooner’s perspective of the other parents’ respectfully ‘grey rock’-ing her though. Slowly back aware from the crazy pooner and maybe she won’t eat our children.

I was initially thinking this same thing. Trooning out is a BPD basketcase's wet dream. I've never applied anything to an open wound except for running it under water to remove obvious dirt and putting on plasters/bandages. I've never gotten an infection so I guess it's not a big deal if you have a good immune system.

This is the closest I have seen to a direct admission that these people are just impossible to please.
