Yes. I rarely go to conventions to meet people unless it someone I like like artists and writers like Stan Lee and Neil Adams since I liked them more for what they did for the business than just being famous writers/ artists, or someone I want my kids to meet like Simon who tried his best to keep Transformers comics around. Though he also worked on Alpha Flight and tried to make them a thing. I may have been the only one to have talked to him about that lol.That was TFcon right?
I just go to them to cut down on customs costs and shipping. That and pick up stuff I'm missing, or lost and want to get back. Like my old kids books and audio plays.
I was not a fan of the convention figures quality. Can't say I was upset when they died for a bit.Those old Botcons though, those sounded fucking insane, water-damaged figs, IRL trolling, depravity and degeneracy, back-room merchants, fraud, convention figs bring broken out of the box. Honestly it’s all a recipe for an early 2000s buddy comedy.
