Majority of my figures, my TTRPG and miniatuers, my work server and office are down on the basement level. I would have been so pissed off if that happened.
 
I forgot that that was announced. Didn't watch the trailer/ commercial they had for it. Looks good. Food however just looks slightly better than McDonalds so congrats I guess? Again, they make the Kreos of Building blocks but instead for fast food restaurants.

I'm also getting a Garfield restaurants vibe

I ended up unintentionally finding out about the ARK restaurant several months back while image searching up some transformers stuff to compare/reference various shots in case I go through with a project I was thinking of doing. I kinda wish they went with a more bronze or darker orange color for the place but even then it's a really striking looking place and you can tell they based the colors off the Kingdom ARK.
The 3d models used on the TVs seem to be the same "realistically textured" versions of the cyberverse models that are being used in that new racing game, or at least incredibly similar ones. it's a weird effect since normal g1 designs or really any other transformers designs would work better for realism, but there's still a clear stylization going on here with the place overall so it kinda works.

It's more expensive than mcdonalds and they seem to make the food there somewhat so it'd make sense being slightly better. I'd assume most of the money is going to the licensing and power bills given how well lit the place is.

I’m enjoying the Insecticons, these are good molds, regret missing Ransack but Venom will be retail so there’s that to look forward to. These are solid molds, still funny that Barrage made it onto Family Guy

Insane that in the same line that these molds came from you can get dogshit like Shadow Striker or Skids (and his offshoots) the same price.

A few days ago I got the transformers beyblade crossover box set of Optimus and Megatron. Bizzarely there's no 25th or 40th branding on the box despite it being a big anniversary event for both things that have been the main big co-op release shit from Hasbro and Takara the last several decades. You'd think there'd be more fanfare for something like this. Megatron not being an attack type configuration is a surreal fucking choice but it's cool how the metal wheel is sculpted to look like his chest and fusion cannon. If I still knew/stayed in touch with the group of guys guys I got together with at some small events back during the initial revival of beyblade over a decade ago I'd probably be playing with the things as autistic as it may look to outsiders lmao. Might get the primal/starscream ones later too if they go down in price.

Looks like we're getting a deluxe Double Punch RotB next year. I thought we already got a similar colour scheme out of Kingdoms Scorponok
 
SS86 vs Earthrise
They're going to need much bigger Decepticons for Studio Series. Everyone else should be fine though.

Amazing what you can do with you just make him wider. Arms I wish were a little longer. I hate short arms as it annoys me as someone who used to draw seeing the wrong proportions on stuff.

Nice getting all the correct colours, but I'm still going to paint mine.
After that I'll likely paint it various other colours once I get more copies.

He looks a little bit too wide to be animation accurate, and the added height means he's out of scale now with pretty much every figure put out the last 5 or 6 years.
Also I think it's less the arms being too short and more the forearms being short and the area above them being too long. Look at both earthrise and siege Optimus and you'll get what I'm talking about. The joint is too low and the sleeves are scrunched. Might be like legacy tidal wave's weird head where they based it off a specific shot in the animation rather than the character model. I'm completely shot from money so I'll just keep my cel shaded siege prime as my g1 optimus, weird plate backpack aside and arm flaps imitating the g1 toy kibble aside that one's like one of the closest to the proportions I see g1 prime having. I just wish they retooled him a bit to not have that back flap thing because there's pre-tooling for an earth mode on siege prime they never followed through with using. The backpack covers what would be the earth mode headlights on Prime's chest in truck mode, and it's a separate part from the actual backpack flap that makes the cab solid. Always was surreal tome too that earthrise prime just uses siege prime's lower legs but removes the flip around bit that makes them smooth like g1 prime's animation model but I think I rambled about all this already before like a year or 2 ago.Maybe more then 2 shit. This isn't even covering the wierd shitshow with ER prime and every prime after still having the vestigal siege prime trailer hitch bit despite some prototype/pre release images not having that. Fuck what even was the development with those?

Anyways rambling and mild gripes aside god damn this is a good looking figure. A lot less weird looking when in dynamic poses.

I want someone to recreate the virgin/chad meme with these two

I’m not a scalefag or an “animation accurate” autist so he’s perfect. I just want a big Optimus in bright colours, with all his shit in one box and this does it

As a box set it looks nice, but since he's too small to be used with the mainline I'd just keep him in there. Though that head could be used for custom fodder.
