Did you enjoy ER Arcee? Well, you can get another!

NO RETOOLING! REQUEST DENIED, GOOD DAY SIR!
Hasbro's obsession with this mold is truly baffling. It's like there's some retard there who thinks it's the best figure they've ever made and should be re-released as many times as possible. But it's not, it's complete shit in almost every way.

Well, glad I still have my T30 version as it's still far and away the best Generations Arcee IMO.

I missed on the original T30 version and the takara variant even though it was available for a while after the T30 line ended. I DO have the figure, though it's the Movie anniversarry version from a few years ago. That box set in general is really nice but my magnus had and still has screatches in his chrome and weird yellow fungal looking dots on his right arm. Thats like one of the only one of those "collector box sets" I was able to get, the other ones being the pulsecon pit and ravage. It's comprised entirely of reissues of figures I didn't have the initial release of in more "animation accurate" colors.

My Galvatron still has that weird problem where it seems to just be absorbing grease from my hands and the air and is gradually becoming glossy and mildly distorted looking. Not like actual warping or anything, more like the support struts and seam lines of the chest and arms are just like becoming weirdly defined via the location of the glossy shit.
Oddly, the SDCC soundwave tank I have is doing this too. Surreal ass shit and I'm wondering if whatevers causing this is the same thing I've been hearing about causing discoloration/yellowing on recent figures. For context, I've seen people claiming in various places online grey/white part siege/earthrise figures started yellowing a few weeks to a month or so of being taken out of the box, or were already yellowed out of box. I never had this phenomenon happen to me yet despite having a few figures supposedly affected by it and this shit happening with my normal galvatron is the closest thing to something like that happening. What happens more with me is weird fucking shit with the factory stroke lines becoming visible in the paint/paint bubbling without visibly noticing it. This has been a thing since combiner wars in terms of issues for me, and now I've noticed similar going on with my nendoroids.

Speaking of Galvatron, selects Galvatron showed up today. I'll take pics later.

That “yellowing” I’ve only seen from one schizo on tfg and nowhere else.

That “gloss” might be from too much moisture?

Earthrise Arcee isn’t that bad…… provided you get the kit that fills the gaps and provides a backpack that makes her look better. At the cost of becoming an Action Master. Doesn’t matter anyway, Elita-1 rocked the ER Arcee mold.

I've seen the "yellowing" thing mentioned in a few places but it's like scattered, not just that guy weirdly enough. As for the moisture, maybe? I'm not in a jungle or anything but the air feels kinda heavy. No clue why it'd just be affecting those 2 things or how the plastic would even do that. The texture is similar to the ps4 and switch controllers I got where they just have somehow absorbed my hand grease and are now extremely glossy as a result so maybe all of thats connected?

Anyways, it's incredible how Elita 1 actually manages to look good despite being a small mod of the shittiest mold. Colors are inaccurate to g1 but are great anyways, vehicle modes still shit but at least the deco on the figure counteracts the fucking massive backpack. I never got her unfortunately, Only was able to find misassembled copies in the wild. I'm surprised Takara didn't do a "megaempress" redeco of her given how similar her helmet and shoulders are to megatron in terms of structure. Then again, I don't think you can do the shoulder/back mounted cannon thing with the figure so that could be a reasoning.

EDIT: Opened selects galvatron and he's got the weird grease gloss thing going on in the box without me even touching him yet, gonna take him out soon but thankfully nothing major is wrong with it from what I can see.

I have no fucking idea what the point of this line is. I really with Takara would just go back to making cool shit like Super Megatron, Piranacon, or maybe actually put out that fucking Armada Optimus that's now completely vanished.

I think the point of the line was.

“Hey, do you want to con them out of their cash?”

“We already did that with the Netflix line.”

“Let’s do it again.”

Opened Selects Galvatron, his joints are weirdly loose and he's got HAIRS of all things wedged INSIDE SOME OF THE PAINT . Otherwise, he's fucking perfect, aside from the scratches in both the plastic and paint that were on the figure before I even took it out of the box, no doubt a result of the new "plastic free" packaging's gross cardboard ropes. Weirdly the parts that were wedged INTO cardboad have no scratches, go figure.

So now I've got 3 megatron (galvatron) figures that are all weirdly "almost" the marvel comics color schemes for him.

Lots of BB Soundwave/Ravage/Shockwave pics here

Love the look of all 3, except the alt modes on Soundwave and Ravage are pretty clearly some nonsense they bullshit together after the fact while the robot modes were the primary focus.

Also, I'm so glad that they not only brought Legends back, but are also expanding them to other continuities. Like them so much more than Battlemasters and Micromasters and Assmasters and all that other shit they were doing before.

SS Ravage is gonna be my CHUG Ravage, I like the Legends size class when it’s used for characters that should be that size/can become that size, like Megatron or Soundwave.

My Newage Megatron came in, and after how ridiculously good Soundwave and Starscream were, he was unfortunately a bit more disappointing. The red panels on the legs are this weird soft plastic that’s poorly color-matched to the brilliant red paintwork on the rest of him, and the back is just god-awful. Granted, his transformation is easily the most complex of the three, so the limitations to the engineering especially at this size are understandable (and lol, even MP-36 doesn’t have a clean back). I think I’m gonna try painting his leg panels to make them look better. While the Magic Square Megatron has better engineering, a clean back and a better gun mode, i still prefer this guy’s robot mode proportions.

what in the actual fuck
I can take a picture if you want but I don't think you'd want to see a fucking weird little pube-looking hair entombed within black paint

I could understand that in a bootleg toy but I expect better from the slave labor behind legit toys

Looks better in tank mode since they actually did some dry brushing, bot mode they half assed it. I could have done a better job with some Tamiya paints.

That being said.
MP Skids and Reboost came in. They look good in both modes but I'm not a fan of the plastic. The quality just isn't there. The torso also looks hollow like Tracks if you look at them from the side. Transformations fine, but they seem to have forgotten a locking point for the calves, not a deal breaker as it sits just fine. Since I rarely transform my MP figures I'm going to see about filling in the torso.

Please God let this be true. The lolcow meltdowns would be legendary.

Oh reap what you sow IDW, get fucked you stupid trannies.

This could’ve been avoided if they, didn’t fuck over Simon Furman, didn’t pander to tumblr, didn’t kill fan favourites, kept their staff in line, didn’t “deconstruct” Optimus and Megatron into useless retards, didn’t turn the Wreckers into Instagram stars and you know, just delivered ROBOTS FIGHTING ROBOTS.

We don’t read these comics for social science debates.

I just got my 1997 DX Gaogaigar in from J. A. Pan today and it is the coolest thing ever. If you love giant robots and do not own this yet, get it.
