Apparently Blaster includes a Cassete, so ideally the scaling is the same.

Also, this is for everyone. Top autists on the TFG have concluded that Dragstrip has no combiner kibble. Meaning that Menasor is definitely Sunbow, giant robot with cars on his limbs.

Well… that’s Sunbow Menasor, he’s literally just Motormaster wearing his guys. That’s where the commander price point is.

Also, I’m willing to bet that G2 Menasor will be the Titan Selects repaint of 2022. Unless they’re gonna try and repaint Cybertron Metroplex into G1 Metroplex.

I wish Legacy Bulkhead leaned more into the AOE Hound aesthetic, I love the idea of robot John Goodman. Might grab a Hound to make him into a true “G1-ized” AOE Hound.

Considering how siege megatron's only real "issues" mold wise are his slightly loose ankles and lack of wrist articulation it makes perfect sense he's sticking around. he seems to be the new classics prime in that sense, but a bit different than classics prime because he has the earthrise variant of the mold instead of just being the same all the way through. Who knows, maybe they'll eventually design a version of him that's slightly less beefy to evoke g1 megatron more, though they could always upscale and slightly retool perceptor and get it even more accurate.

I'm betting it's going to be a case where motormaster's trailer converts intot he parts to combine them all into menasor much like the g1 toy does. Looking at photos of the RED reformatting megatron and the generations selects "Unicron compantion pack" galvatron next to each other it really just seems they're meant to be companion pieces to each other. Both are figures based on the animation models of the characters, both have clear colored plastic thats NEARLY the same shade, the megatron has the grid lines for the reformatting while the galvatron is just the EXTREMELY BRIEF shots where it's gyrating around the wireframe of megatron changing into galvatron from before being filled with the grid lines again and galvatron goes full color. if you go frame by frame in that sequence you'll see what I'm talking about. It's technically inaccurate as there's no full galvatron bodyshot like that in anything but it's cool.

Speaking of inaccuracies and inconsistencies, it's always been funny to me how in the g1 cartoon some characters inconsistently had robo-goatees. Megatron and cyclonus are like the prime examples of that oddity. Galvatron pretty much always had one but it's color differed from shot to shot. People got mad that the one on the kingdom figure was the same color as the rest of his face but that's the coloration I tend to prefer. Jet black just doesn't suit it. Darker grey, maybe, but not black. draws away from the rest of his face unless done/placed just right using a metallic near-black grey that picks up light easy paired with a light enough silver or grey for the rest of the face.

In other news, I was browsing Ebay a while back and saw a listing for the clear test shot rhinox I got some few weeks back. No idea how many of those test shots exist but Due to the seller being in washington I suspect it might be the same guy I got mine off of. HOWEVER the price seems to be the same price as the standard hasbro/takara scalper listings of thrilling 30 rhinox instead of significantly cheaper, unless those went up in price again. Haven't tried transforming mine yet but it's apperently doable. Considering the joints are solid plastic it's probably about as stable as siege mirage or that upcoming galvatron, unless there's tolerance issues which are possible on test shots. The fact it shipped in rhino mode tells me it's probably safe because the way the figure is assembled it would require it to have been in bot mode at some point.

The more I think about yesterday the more I'm kinda disappointed. Not at the figs themselves but how little they showed. No Studio Series, none of the exclusives, hell they couldn't even be bothered to show all of Legacy wave 1. I missed the announcements and the only thing I see looking at pulse is for some insipid reason the next haslab is literally just a skystriker reissue with jet blast effects. I looked it up on ebay and the prices are already starting to spike for every other release of the thing like fucking clockwork. Shoulda gotten the starscream version when I saw it for $40 on ebay with no figures like last year or so.

EDIT: WHY IS IT 300 DOLLARS JESUS FUCK.
I really wish I had manaaged to scrounge up the spafre cash for star saber now because haslab is just gonna get fucking lazier and lazier.

EDITX2: Saw the images of the upcoming figures they look fucking good and actually are in plastic cases (wow!) BAT's chest greebling could be a litttle bit better/deeper though. Was going to buy a bunch of mcfarlane AIM fortnite figures to make BATs when they were like 13 dollars everywhere but never did. It's kinda odd how fortnite has a ton of blatant gi joe homages and now the company that actually made gi joe is doing a line for fortnite in the same scale as the gi joe figures. Might still try seeking one out to do a custom based on the 3.0 or 4.0 BAT model.

Maybe if it was 6 inch scale it'd be, but it's not. It's literally just another reissue of a thing that's been shown to sell fine before at a stupid higher price. This is the same shit they pulled with armada unicron when they changed the box to say "universe" back in the day but instead of it just being a price hike its a price hike attatched to a "timed one time preorder only" thing. This is not worth 300 in the slightest. 200, maybe, but that's a bit of a stretch too.

Never aimed to, I've made it explicitly clear i can't afford haslab shit. I also stated the problem this things causing, which is people trying to price gouge more dumb shit. Release date on this thing is 2023, think about that. It's taking longer for this to be released than other haslab shit and it's literally just a reissue with only a few small additions and they've set the dev time for 2 whole ass years. Shit's fucking insane lmao.

One of these days I'm probably going to end up buying one of those 3d printed custom vehicle kits people have been making for the classified figures. Briefly got into buying one or 2 of the weirdly colored custom repro gi joes people make last year or so when scalpers started gouging the normal ones. I'm guessing it'll be around that level of jank. Unlike those I'll need to add the paint myself.
If I had the technical knowledge and proper equipment to do so I'd probably make a classified compatible g2 megatron.

Sorry, misread the situation

I tell ya, if they were reissuing the Flagg with some new bits then I’d buy in. Not even a Joe fan, I’d just call it CHUG Broadside. That I’d back without regret.

But this Haslab is both a cash boost and a way to maintain hype, Hasbro knows that they’ve got a long wait till the new stock can actually hit shelves so they’ve got to keep people invested somehow. Locking your fans in for two years is a clever way to keep them invested in the brand.
