Also, MPM-15 Brawl is a thing for those who care, looks pretty nice though.

Sentinel Prime has a pretty nice transformation. Didn't expect that from these Prime Changers. Arms are rather skinny though for his body. However, you could pretty easily switch those out for some new ones if a 3rd party add on company was interested. Colour reminds me of what the G1 version of Bruticus that's coming out should look like with the blue and the yellow could be used for G2 (I preferred United over the Combiner Wars release colours) . Very satisfying colour combination.

I should mention that someone is going to be doing a stylized G2 Megatron. From the silhouette photo it just looks skinner than what he was like in the comics. The cannon I think should be larger.
He's going to be around the same size as say New Age figure, though I think he's better suited for Iron Factory in terms of style. They worked on Sirius. The quality was pretty poor, but he did look good.

I keep forgetting that G2 exists, but that does look pretty cool from the preview.

Other than Megatrons new form that Cobra worked on for him and Jhiaxus it really didn't have much going for it so it was easy to forget. The toyline though was better but any time they introduce those characters in the comics they'd get like a page and that's it and it was at the end of the series. The artwork was decent for it's time, they just needed a better writer and person planning everything out.

Got Marvel Shockers in hand, they did it, they never need to make another Shockwave ever again. All this mold needed was the superior colours, the crap removed and to be cheaper. This does all of that and you get Optimus dlc to boot.

That whole “Optimus and Megs are bros” trope can be traced back to this, the comic reasserted Megatron’s badass cred and was honestly funny at times. Like the first issue where Hot Rod was supposed to make a distraction and after a space monster shows up, the Cons flee and Optimus gives him props on his “fake monster” and Hot Rod tells him that he wasn’t able to set up a distraction…….

Marvel Optimus is usually dead inside but sometimes he gets reason to be happy and is immediately shot down. He goes through that in one page.

G2 is metal as fuck while going ham with the worldbuilding and the Cybertronian Alliance is stil awesome.

I found it was dime a dozen when it came to Marvel's comics back than unless it was a solo character run. Even then they could get pretty samey. You can probably blame that on the way Marvel did comics after their one lawsuits decade or so prior. It really hurt their originality but made sure they wouldn't face another lawsuit in the future like that one.

So my son had a lot of fun at the convention and bought quite a bit of stuff for himself. I told him that whatever he made doing extra chores for the past year would be doubled. He mostly picked up stuff from Unicron Trilogy, some Classics/ Generations stuff, and Power of the Primes/ Combiner Wars figures. I just focused on the convention exclusives and some 3rd party MP figures I haven't gotten yet and a couple New Age and Magic Square stuff. Met Simon again, that was pretty cool. I also did some trading as I met a few people looking for stuff and I had some doubles I could offload. It's nice that they didn't do the whole mask thing, I would have hated that. There's a good number of people interested in cosplaying at the con which I just don't get for Transformers.

That was TFcon right?

I’m thinking on doing at least one convention in my collector career. Got a friend who’d be down to go (he’s not a TF guy he’s just in for a good time) I dont normally do these sorts of things.

Those old Botcons though, those sounded fucking insane, water-damaged figs, IRL trolling, depravity and degeneracy, back-room merchants, fraud, convention figs bring broken out of the box. Honestly it’s all a recipe for an early 2000s buddy comedy.
