Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

Ok so movie, toys and game look promising
We eating good this year, i was afraid that from first trailer it's gonna be mediocre at best but i can see it's going to be not that bad if bee decides to keep his mouth shut for rest of the movie.

Ok guys my friend said if i buy electric guitar and join his band that he'd buy me a transformers figure
Any good recommendations

A Starscream or Shockwave

I'm biased

Preorders for the new shit are up. Bludgeon/Uncle Ruckus, SS86 Optimus and Straxus are all coming in October. I’m eating good that month.
Weird how long we have to wait for Optimus as that's already shipped around Asia Pacific. It's how I got my first copy. Usually I don't like doing that, but I felt like I had to for that figure since they're talking about needing more units made.

Hey, Bludgeon, Ruckus and Optimus are slated for Oct 3, that’s three big things I’ve wanted in one delivery.

I believe we’ll see Optimus arriving sooner though.

We decided to agree on buying this set IMG_20240731_160057.jpg

That Takara old-school leader sized TF: One Optimus has my attention. He’s big, he’s got the mouth plate gimmick and looks almost 1:1.

Likewise. I pre-ordered it at BBTS this morning after seeing the transformation and features in motion.
I don’t even care about the film. That Optimus is just the best looking “Cybertron mode” Optimus I’ve seen, the normal face is arguably better than the movie model, its features are less soft, fitting more with the CHUG line. Plus 5mm ports.

Really reminds of Zama’s take on Pax.

Credit to Takara, this fig killed any interest in the IDW Comic Con Prime.

Amazon leaked a Studio Series Sentinel from TFOne. If it's as good as the mainline one I'd get it and a few extras for customs but I wont hold my breath due to how bad Optimus Prime and Megatron are. Who ever thought those were Studio Series quality need to be fired.

Seeing the back of Agent Knight it looks like I can do something with those wing doors so I can repaint four of them into characters that will never get new figures of. Two of them being Minicons and two old repaints of the Windcharger mold. Five if I also decide to do Gunrunner, but he's a lot easier to repaint.

So, got Marvel Grimlock in hand. It’s like getting a Batman in his proper blue rather than the normie black. Here’s the lowdown

Pros
-Grey plastic is the same, meaning upgrade kits are cross-compatible
-No Wheelie
-Lots of paint, the inner part of the dino back kibble is all painted
-No translucent plastic
-Crown isn’t too tight
-No mold degradation whatsoever, they’ve clearly made multiple steels of the mold

Cons
-swords are rubbery and not solid, had to heat them back to their straight alignment. They’re also kinda small
-He has the heaviest comic shading and it’s not for everyone
-He is the least…… exciting of these Marvel figures. Especially with Straxus in mind and Shockwave’s pet Optimus harness.

This figure is still impressive on a shelf, moreso now with the bold colours.

EDIT: Marvel’s grey is brighter but the DNA upgrade still looks good

There's a lot working against this, which is usually the case for a kid friendly series.

- Chinese is an ugly language, I sure as shit wouldn't want to listen to it for 52 episodes
- Humans
- Human children somehow fighting at the level of a giant robot
- Weak/cheap toys are almost a guarantee, if they even end up existing

I don't expect this to have any presence at all outside of China.

it's a cartoon that was supposed to be released 5 years ago when cyberverse was still a thing and already had toys released/leaked.
i'm suprised it got out of production hell, but will they still revive the toyline for this?

Well I caved and bought the Optimus and Megs two pack, if only because as a teenager I actually liked the (earlier) IDW, I’m a big fan of Megatron: Origin and COptimus was based.

I’m gonna have to make a Cy-kill with an arena diorama though and that Megatron will likely need replacement parts to counteract mold degradation.

So Fans Toys had to go the Zeta Toys route with their Superion and go with a torso. Wasn't a fan of that when Zeta Toys did it and not a fan of it now. Only thing Fans Toys does better is hide various kibble that should be hidden. Box to get the last bits of that combiner is rather larger and looks like it'll be a fun unboxing though. I pray to god they don't do a full set box. That would be massive.
