Selects Galvatron was leaked a day early, he has an optional sticker sheet to replicate toy details and a Marvel-accurate Matrix. Guns have been painted black to replicate the classic gun he had back in the day.

Unfortunately he lacks the dark grey face, yellow eyes and his forehead crest will be purple, specifically the same shade as his biceps. The cannon does however have sparkles molded into the plastic. Thoughts?

Personally speaking I’m a Marvelfag so this is a must-buy, a light bit of paint will be required for that face and personally I would’ve liked a “manic” headsculpt, like those pictured below.

Do Beast Wars count? The rest is kinda gay, even the Beast Wars sequel, Beast Machines. Favorites were Dinobot, Silverwing, and Ratrap.

I'm afraid to rewatch it because I'm positive it won't hold up.

Mrs. Dude is the best and I'm lucky to have her. I have always wanted Scorponok ever since I was a kid with the original G1 City Bots, even though he was smaller than Metroplex and Fortress Maximus. He was always just the coolest and most impressive of the giant Transformers to me. I was talking about the Earthrise version of him and how I'd like to get him, but told her I would likely wait until the Black Zarak version since it's dropping in December and it would give me enough time to save up for it and still be able to pre-order it through TF Source and save some money over buying it "in stock". But I don't like his colors as much as Scorponok. She asked me if there was still a pre-order for Scorponok, and I said "yes". She replied "Happy birthday! Go ahead and pre-order it, but that's all you're getting." So, yeah, I'm finally getting a Scorponok. I'm mostly just going to display it, so I'm going to get a few upgrade kits to make him look better, like the DNA kits that give him more realistic articulated bug legs, his big fuck-off blaster like the original, and the add-ons for his shield. I also found another kit that adds some purple lights, one for inside each claw and one for his torso.

Little Dude's birthday is coming up too, and all he wants is the new Ark titan that's coming out soon. So I'm going to try to get in on the pre-order for it while it's still available. Also recently picked him up a Studio Series Grimlock, and it's a great little figure. They did a good job matching him up with how he looked in the 1986 animated movie. The only real bummer is that the Wheelie figure that comes with him doesn't have a lot of articulation and doesn't even transform into his little car mode.

That’s nice, I love stories like that. If you want the Wheelie to have more heft than I recommend the DNA upgrade kit, it reshells that accessory into a full-blown figure and comes with a sword for Grimmy.

The Ark/Last Autobot looks great. He’s very playset-like, despite lacking a base mode. He’s got that dedicated bridge for micro-figs, pop out Mainframe and a Core/small Deluxe can pilot the Ark, the Teletraan console which works with almost all size classes and the sheer “shwoosh” factor that ship mode has. The first Titan with a ship mode that can do that.

Plus we’re probably getting the Nemesis next year, apparently they aren’t phasing out Titan class.

Yeah, we were looking at the upgrade kit for SS Grimlock/Wheelie and might get it for Little Dude. The Ark is a really cool figure and I'm looking forward to seeing what upgrade kits come out for it from the aftermarket/third party sector. If they're going to do a transforming Nemesis as a Decepticon counterpart to the Ark, I think it would be kind of cool if they took some inspiration from the War For Cybertron games and had it turn into Trypticon. And since they're doing a retool of Scorponok to make Black Zarak, I wonder if they will do a retool of Fortress Max to be his nemesis?

Honestly I think they know what a crock of shit TR Fort Max was, he was literally just fluffer to pad time for Trypticon. So I could see Fort Max getting a redo within the next five years, likely as a remold of Metroplex 2.0 which I’m betting is the Titan after Nemesis.

Slammer is getting a figure, he was Metroplex’s tank drone and now he’s a full-blown guy. His bio mentions being a “part of something bigger” and Warden had mentioned a desire to revisit Metroplex. Maybe I’m just being hopeful but I really can’t stand T30 Metroplex and Maxy deserves better.

For the Ark’s upgrades I can see gap fillers, a dedicated heavy duty flight stand, maybe a Auntie face, better hands and some new guns that actually swivel.

I would love it if the Nemesis has a Sunbow Trypticon as it’s robot mode.

Slammer's package mentions it's compatible with Metroplex and Sixgun. So we're either getting a re-issue or a whole new bot.

It also sounds like we're going to be getting a load of Earthmode Sideswipe recolors. Red Alert is a walgreens exclusive but apparently another Deep Cover may be happening.

A month ago I would’ve said that Metroplex 2.0 was gonna be the next Haslab but now that’s gonna be Starsaber (based) with the Titan class being….saved? I’d wager he’s on the list, no way T30 Metroplex is getting reissued again.

They’re gonna redo all the Sidswipe variants in Earth mode? Not surprising but as long as they don’t clog up Selects I’m happy. Hell, if they relegate them to store exclusives I’ll be happy as a pig in shit. Means more desirable repaints have less of a chance of being hard to get.

I don’t have any emotional attachment to the characters and the franchise but I do like me some cool transforming robots. Are there any figures you guys can recommend with interesting/fun transformations? I recently picked up a KO MP Soundwave (my favorite Transformers design by far) and am also thinking of picking up a KO MP Megatron.

Siege Spinister, pulls an incredibly clever trick in order to be accurate to his old box art of all things.

Look at the legs, now look at the alt-mode.

I would love to get a new Metroplex. Out of all the Big Bots for the Autobot side, Metroplex was always my favorite. He looks way better than Fort Max. Fort Max, to me, always looked like a toy for little kids, like something from PlaySkool or something. If they bring back Metroplex in any way, whether a reissue or a new bot, I hope they add the twin missiles/torpedoes his original 80s toy had that slotted into his front end/legs in his "mobile base/tank" mode. But with how the Hasbro versions of the Titans have been released lately without any weapons or peripheral items, that'll likely need to be something a third-party like DNA has to take care of.

Spent the day fixing TR Sixshot using ghetto upgrade kits, reprolabels and glossing those retarded pin joints. Need putty now to fill in the helmet gaps because I de-headmastered him

To the unaffiliated because I see some new faces, Sixshot is an absolute unit of a Decepticon, frequent hero killer and living WMD. His modern toys however are crap, either too stylized (3p) or half-assed flimsy garbage that was clearly gutted by a budget cut. He is a weighty chonky figure and has his classic six modes……. But his joints are measly metal pins and he caves in upon himself, his ankles are ratcheted and open too far too be of any use and he is covered head to toe in cheap stickers.

Commander class Sixshot when Hasbro?

Welp I guess we're maybe getting Generation Selects Tigertron, because holy shit look who supposedly got a new figure.

Wasn’t there a rumour last year that Laserbeak and Buzzsaw would be a two pack of Airrazor remolds? I think that just got a bit more credibility.

Welp here we go Fangry got a full on figure now.

BB-002.jpg

Nemesis Primal is a new thing, Deluxe Bumblebee (again) but this time with his muscle car mode, and toy color scheme Black Arachnia

Key to Vector Sigma is that little d20 thing by Bumblebee.

So if Fangry is getting a figure, I guess those walmart headmaster leaks for a wave 3 and 4 are real.

Might as well give a bit of an Update on my situation. I somehow haven't seen a single studio series figure in the past few months. No sign of scourge and I'm not willing to pay upwards of $40 for him.
On the bright side, the Pit of judgement box set finally shipped and arrived last month, Somehow the cardboard ended up being dented INSIDE the box on mine which sucks because I'm aiming to keep the thing after I open it. I've somehow not gotten around to opening it, though I aim to. It kinda sucks they downscaled the prosecutor and kranix to non-posable figures, but it's kinda a nice touch when you take into account they're clearly supposed to be used as display pieces with the Judge's prison mode.

I also managed to find one of those quintesson faction ironhides made to tie into the netflix series. Despite the fact that figure's supposed to represent a faceless jobber, and is actually inaccurate to the netflix animation model for said jobber's colorscheme, it's the most elaborate paintwork i think I'm ever going to see on a transformers figure aside from maybe the poopsmear barricade zombie and maybe those upcoming takara premium finish figures. I didn't notice this at first but the dot splotching on him actually goes onto his windshield, and it's not a paint defect like it'd be on other figures. Faceless background goon and they give him the world and more in terms of love and care compared to their main characters, it's some pretty funny shit. I ended up giving him impactor's gun as a shoulder cannon since it had a weird colormatch thing going on with the shade of silver plastic. Would 100% recommend this figure. Just be careful because the joints on mine are loose, and I think that's just how the mold is given how my shattered glass ratchet has a similar issue.

Holy shit that's really fucking close to the animation model. I guess this explains why cheetors arms were weirdly wide-set.

I think the weird colors on the stickerless head (face included) are meant to be a nod/reference to Energon galvatron, more specifically the one that was called Megatron in the Hasbro release. That's really the only other time I've seen galvatron with a color-scheme lke that on his head. It feels like one of those"triple reference" kinda releases where it's coloration is based on a mix of the comic, the original toy, and a later significant homage to the original toy. Marvel galvatron had silver shoulder pylons, the pylons here are colored like the red shoulderpads of the toy but are still pylons instead of pads.
This also kinda reminds me of how they claimed Regal cobra commander was meant to be a reference to the gi joe cartoon when he was actually colored like Marvel comics Commander instead.

On the facesculpt thing, That's a really missed opportunity. I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not getting the G2 sideswipe masterpiece figure when it was on discount. That thing was a very rare instance of them making a headsculpt based on the Marvel comics transformers, weirdly realistic teeth and all.

Then there's that weird Beast megatron variant where a couple of batches ended up with a much more expressive face, makes me wonder if that figure was originally intended to have swappable heads or something since that head never showed up again, even for T wrecks...

The Galvatron crest looks to be them making the most out of an unplanned error, biceps are on the same sprue as the crest, hence the Energon-esque headgear.

I got two of the Quintesson Drones and they look great as a duo, I don’t know if it’s the paint as you described or the mold but they are suitably stoic looking goons who don’t draw attention but instead add to whoever they’re displayed with. In my case they’re on the Mercenary shelf and they indeed make Doubledealer and his cronies pop by comparison.

Doubleposting but this warrants it, Ravage doesn’t transform. Hence the inclusion of his cassette form as a separate accessory.

aka this box is a bunch of repaints that wouldn’t do well on their own packed in with a soft-reissue of Bumblebee, except in the Bugbite iteration of the mold. Literal based bumblejumper.

Personally I’m digging Fangry (the one we want) and leopard-print Blackarachnia. Weird how good her toy colours look on the show body.

Does ravage really not transform? he looks like most beast wars ravage figures where he has an alt mode of a panther. He literally reuses parts from cheetor and his head is large enough it could probably serve as his alt mode head. If he really doesn't transform that means cheetor's weird arms and legs being used for ravage serve literally no purpose.

Also, holy fucking shit! a Bumblejumper that's not a defect. I kinda wonder what happened to that actual reissue of netflix bumblebee they put out a while ago. Never saw any shit about anyone buying it or it even showing up in stores though it was supposedly put out there. More target employee ebay scalper fodder, I suppose.

I'm mad that they made a Purple Gorilla but didn't go all the way to reference Bonzi Buddy
