I'm so far safe from this nuts shit but honestly at my university it's only a matter of time.

I know a person who is triggered irl by mentions of poop. Not just talking about something pooping, but like, we can't even say "oh shit" around him or else he'll "dissociate" and make lots of passive aggressive comments about "respecting people's feelings" or some shit.

What if you told him to eat shit and die?

I know somebody who's triggered by the word "bastard" because of its literal definition being somebody born out of wedlock, and he's the product of such a birth. Or something.

I mean, if you have a legitimate PTSD trigger, you can't help it and it sucks, but Tumblr's just appropriated the word and it's lost all its meaning. Funny, considering how much Tumblrites harp on "cultural appropriation."

I've known several little people who self-identify as midgets.

I see a lot of "tw: academia" and variations on that theme from people who are in college. One of my favorite currently inactive Tumblr lolcows hit me with "tw: etymology" once. That continues to be my favorite.

I'm also fond of s****ing out all the l*****s in "sl*rs" so you can't tell what the word is. For the longest time I thought "g***y" was "gimpy".
Starring out words is my trigger. Your post nearly killed me.
(Oh, and tw for anyone offended by "killed". Joking about death is evil.)

As someone who's diagnosed PTSD, trigger warnings are the bane of my existence. Seriously, it just implies that tumblr sjw's want the the to be an impenetrable utopia where it's everyone's responsibility to mollycoddle each other. They want special treatment and it's especially jarring when they have the list of their diagnoses like a badge of honor on their page.

So what you're saying, if I understand correctly is that real PTSD sufferers just want to be treated like regular people and get on with life. How dare you insinuate that it's somehow wrong that people who once saw a bird get eaten by a cat and now have PTSD (TW feathers, teeth and anything that looks like a cat) should wrap themselves in cat-prrof bubble wrap and then advertise to the world that showing them cats is a bad idea.

I hate it when people have trigger warnings of historical events, like World War 2. How are you going to learn to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past if you can't accept or try to ignore that it happened. But then again I could be in the wrong.

(Sorry you all probably don't want me posting again but I feel strongly against trigger warnings [I can understand some but others are just dumb in my opinion] so I felt that I had to give some input about it. Also my post probably sucks.)

This is my favourite one, bit of a classic now.
"Even if you aren't triggered by pop ups, you might be triggered by everything else thats ever existed."
Imagine being scared of motion, how would you move? Although I say that as if this person has ever actually been outside.

I think I lost my shit at motion.

You know what? I'm cutting the shit here and now.

I'm triggered by...

How can these people even survive everyday life?

I totally agree with you mate. When it comes to history people should expect the bad shit. Like they say those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

And thus Charlie Brown becomes the prophet of Modern Tumblr.

I don't have a screencap or lurk tumblr (I avoid it like the plague) but my friend is a talented artist and has an artblog on tumblr. She drew a picture of the ocean. Some faggot got angry and messaged her for not hashtagging trigger warnings for it, because the ocean is her trigger. Fuck.

How in Odin's name can the ocean be triggering?
