So who's betting Twitch will sweep this under the rug and the big fucking streamers decide to fuck off? I mean this is pretty fucking big and screwed the platform over really hard. Of course I'm betting against it, streemers need their MILLIONS a fucking year to feed their tiger, god forbid it gets hungry.

These attacks are chipping away at low-power players and showing the top-power players that they can get to them through their hobbies.

I would love to see OnlyFans get hit, to find out who subscribes to what. Similarly with Pornhub and Xhamster now requiring user verification before posting.

It's not big in the way you think it is. Concerning yes especially when they're going to cover up their shitty tech practices but otherwise kind of a shrug situation.

And how exactly does this screw over twitch when they're THE go-to streaming website with no other worthwhile competitors? Aren't monopolies nice?

If Phil’s bank records being leaked showing how he pisses away all his money on mobile games, fast food and booze while crying poor didn’t stop his simps/paypiggies, this won’t even dent the twitch streamers’ income.

That's the beauty of it all. Twitch is the ONLY platform, therefore even if they get fucked over where are people gonna go? Nowhere. Twitch streamers have not just been spending all their time digging their grave, they went so fucking deep that they can't even get out, and now they've built mansions in the earth.

Call me optimistic, but I see this massive leak as something of a piling the dirt into the hole deal.

It'll be interesting if any audits come down over this. I doubt it because most of them should be 1099 form "self-employed". But I could see a few streamers who might not be reporting every income stream.

Tldr: Don't fuck with the IRS.

Interdasting timing after the fucky-wucky Facebook had a couple days ago. I don't know what sort of short-term effects this will have with Twitch streamers and partners, but it's probably gonna scare a number of them into putting the screws on Twitch staff.

Streamers who have invested their entire lives into making money off Twitch are probably gonna be the most unnerved by this. The ones that were wise to save their income (i.e. Vinny/Vinesauce) over the years can safely cut and run should the site become too much of a security risk to its partner base. The ones just starting out or recklessly consoom/spend their revenue are in a much more precarious spot. Gonna be watching this one unfold very closely.
