I don't know all the details, but my hasty research says that Chloe Sagal was a video game programmer who was scamming people. Instead of her kickstarter money going toward a game she was hyping it was going toward gender reassignment surgery. She then killed herself when she was called out on it.

So yeah. Really looks like it was just a case of someone being caught doing something illegal so they kill themselves rather than go to jail. Null had nothing to do with it, and the person who yeeted themselves wasn't exactly an innocent angel.

As usual, chris and sockness are ignoring details of the situation and just want to paint people with a broad brush.

The Indiegogo thing wasn't the proximate cause of her suicide, but it did out her as a liar, since she claimed the money was going to go to lifesaving surgery when it was really for her SRS. After that, she started suicide-baiting for attention, picked fights with various other cows, including Brianna Wu and Phil, basically managed to alienate all her friends by being a mentally unstable assclown, and eventually set herself on fire to protest the shitty state of American mental healthcare or something. None of these people are complex or smart. They might want to spite those evil trolls on the Kiwi Farms to ebin troll them, exert control or influence over some sped as some kinda power fantasy, they might have legit savior complexes.
