While I agree with you on the first part, I have to disagree with you comparing him to children. Even as a child, Chris was heavily ostricized. Even children know it's not okay and embarrassing for adults to act like Chris.I think you're misinterpreting a lot of Chris' behavior as Machiavellian in nature. People with autism have stunted growth of empathy and social understanding. What we recognize is a wrong or weird thing to do, Chris does not.
Chris is more akin to a child with good but misguided intentions. It's a bit of a stretch to say he's capable of manipulative and sociopathic behavior.
